According to Anuar (CEO), Sapura Energy has accumulated RM460 million in Covid-19-related costs, which are being claimed from clients.

“As a whole, the cost of Covid-19 was RM460 million, but the impact on contract costs to us was two to four times higher … So imagine, those are the costs that I incur and that have not been paid. So what does it do to the P&L? That’s negative cash flow going out, nothing in,” he says.  sad.gif

The letter further suggests the vendor had a tough time dealing with Sapura Energy which is still issuing purchase orders and requesting quotations, but not making payments for the past six months.

“It is almost impossible to get any response from your staff responsible for vendor payments,” noted the open letter.

“We have yet to successfully speak with anyone from your staff regarding our overdue payments as our phone calls have never been answered, and we were turned away when we attempted to visit your offices.”

From the hundreds of e-mails sent to the relevant staff of Sapura Energy, the letter said only two replies were received, one of which dated Dec 13, 2021 which painted an optimistic picture with regard to a possible payment in January 2022.

“Although there are 10 days remaining in this month, it seems highly unlikely that this will materialise,” the letter pointed out.

“I am prompted into writing this letter by an episode earlier this month where we supplied goods which were urgently required by you. Communication from your staff ceased immediately after the delivery of our goods for which we are yet to receive an acknowledged delivery order. Without this, we are unable to submit to you our invoice for this order.”

If it's not paid for, the supplier could get a court order for repossession.

Usually for offshore platform or pipeline, the material already integrated into the structure.. how to reposses?
Better to stop the delivery until full payment is made.

In our wildest dreams, these high rank people are basically parasites sucking the company dry and they just run their mouths nothing more nothing less.

Shahril has retired and left the company, PNB is the new boss and Taib is the new CEO, this is why need to move out from Sapura building and change company name.

I think the salary is much lower since PNB is the new boss

Now they need to pay 10 million annually to use 'Sapura' name.....they should pay vendor instead of paying Sapura Group to use the 'Sapura' name la.

I believe, Petronas is using rank 1 to 5. Average performance is at 3. If you delivered as per job description, mostly you will get 3. If you extraordinary than your job description requirement, you will get rank 3+ or 2. i.e. if you are Project Manager and you managed to deliver project earlier/on time and below the budget, you can get rank 1. So there is very important for you and your line manager to agreed on the job description and tasks at 1st day of every year, have mid year review (to ensure you on track) and appraisal in year end.

You will have a fair appraisal if your company/manager have early agreement of your job description and task at early day of every year. I have seen many of employee and employer have disputed on performance when they did not set any job description and task at early stage.  smile.gif

As per my wife's word: you dont get high performance for doing your related work scope be it deliver on time and under budget. You get high performance for fulfilling unnecessary tasks making your superior look good.

In order to raise cash, it is rumoured that Sapura the operator (JV with OMV), is looking to sell its shares in SapuraOMV and quit being an operator.

That is bad, seem like the company don't have proper review because superior/manager performance based on the agreed Job Scope in early of the year.
