One more thing to highlight, SapuraOMV is the operator and the other Sapura is basically a contractor.

QUOTE(Maverick85 @ Dec 30 2019, 10:55 PM) The inside sapura news is that jerun they will get for sure as sapura omv is the owner and operator. On casual talking to many sapura people in lumut, understand that they also planned on jerun fabrication areas in lumut yard. As per them the jerun jacket will be fabricated on the exact place (skid beams) where the pegaga cpp jacket is now and the jerun cpp topside is to be fabricated on the exact same place (skid beams) where the pegaga cpp topside is standing now. Also the plan is to reuse the pegaga cpp topside's lsf for jerun topside. The jerun itb looks like just a formality. 99% sapura will get jerun. On asking to many staffs on their next project, they all have same name to say "jerun". It’s not correct to say that Sapura will definitely get Jerun just because the operator is SapuraOMV. SapuraOMV will definitely need to follow the tender bid procedures as per Petronas’ requirements. It’s just so happen that Sapura’s competitor for Jerun is busy with another big CPP and with other good fabrication prospects next year, that Sapura will be the only viable and available fabricator for the job. Sapura will still need to put in it’s bid for Jerun EPC. Now the question is, which engineering consultant Sapura will JV with. I heard they were OK with Worley’s performance in Pegaga and they might opt to JV with Worley for Jerun. But the current Jerun FEED contractor is also keen to JV with Sapura for Jerun EPC. QUOTE(iamyourdaddy27 @ Jan 15 2020, 03:28 PM) Heard this last year that PCSB will request EPC for bid extension, but no official request was sent to EPC's yet. There are issues with the reservoir data. Ada yg tak percaya! Finalizing Q1, 2020 was also what I have heard last year. Just recently heard from my source PETRONAS not very keen on this project for now. Again this is just the rumours i have heard maybe its true and maybe its not The bidders were requested to extend bid validity till April 2020. |

QUOTE(iamyourdaddy27 @ Jan 15 2020, 09:56 AM) Heard a few rumours lately, would appreciate if others could share if they heard the same or confirm the rumours are true. 6. Jerun CPP EPIC tender bid is out. Bid closing end Feb 2020. Planned award mid 2020. That Lumut fabricator is smiling from ear to ear now. I wonder which design consultant they will JV with.1. Kasawari - long lead items LOI/LOA are being held up by Technip, expected to be released within 2 weeks. 2. Bayan MOPU - expected to be awarded soon to EPC as FID is approved. 3. Limbayong - project delayed to 2021 or 2022 for FID. 4. Rosemari & Marjoram - FID approved in December and bid expected to be released soon 5. E08 - expected to move as SHELL obtained a PAC/PSC for 30 years. Let me know if anyone have heard these rumours...TQ 7. Hess NMB Phase 4 EPC tender bid planned 3Q2020. 3 or 4 WHPs. |

QUOTE(contestchris @ Jan 19 2020, 08:58 PM) Their capacity is higher, plus that 35-40k is spread over a 3 year period (2020 to 2022). So their utilisation with Kasawari WHP/CPP in the picture is still under half the combined yard capacity. If I were Petronas, I would like Sapura to get the Jerun CPP EPCIC job, so that they can harness their floatover CPP fabrication experience to be at par with MMHE. Apparently so far, they are doing well with Pegaga project which is their first CPP floatover project. We lost a good fabricator Sime Darby some years back which was a real competitor to MMHE and I am hoping Sapura will be eventually be at par with Sime and be capable to bid more international projects. This post has been edited by Stamp: Jan 20 2020, 08:03 AM |

QUOTE(skycsh @ Jan 20 2020, 12:46 PM) Jerun CPP: Very high chance goes to Sapura Energy, reason you know i know. They will work with engineer company either Petrofac RNZ or RWP?? FEED study already done and probably Mid of 2020 for EPCC bidding. Langsat Terminal 3: Coming soon, probably kick off Q1?? Procurement activities is started, owner is looking subcon. Shell Crux: Sapura high chance, but don't know when the LOA is coming BAGSF2: Toyo consortium high chance to get. Heard the result come out Q1 2020 BTW, for Bayan MOPU, any details can share? Like project consultant, bidders.....etc |

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Jan 20 2020, 11:18 PM) If I'm Petronas, I stay away from Sapura. They have bad, very bad cashflow as at right now. Petronas will need a good justification to disqualify Sapura, commercially. The key elements of any project, fund. Put aside any technical aspect. Sapura's competitor financial status is nothing to shout about also. |

QUOTE(AyamTNB @ Jan 21 2020, 01:03 AM) I have to agree. Fund-wise, they are at bad stage... bad paymaster too. When Sapura is done with Pegaga, they will have an experienced CPP Floatover PMT, ready to take up a new challenge in Jerun EPCIC.But they have good facilities & in terms of expertise, they are top notch. It's a 50:50 bet... but I still believe Sapura will get this... This post has been edited by Stamp: Jan 21 2020, 01:13 PM |

Petros took over Sarawak gas MGMT from Petronas. Hope they do better than PETRONAS or at least maintain the standard set by PETRONAS. This post has been edited by Stamp: Feb 13 2020, 06:04 AM |

Nobody want to do the job then how to recover from bankruptcy there's no issue of McD not paying salaries to KL staff, is there?McD present clients should worry since the company may not be able to deliver the works if the staff are leaving. |
