Petrofac secures engineering design services contract in Brunei
Petrofac, as technical service provider, and its partner Serikandi Oilfield and Services Sdn Bhd, have secured a multi-annual Engineering Design Services contract to support Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) and Brunei LNG (BLNG) in Brunei.



BSP has been established in Brunei for almost 90 years, with activity primarily focused on exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas from onshore and offshore fields. Founded in 1969, BLNG was the first LNG plant in the Western Pacific to pioneer large scale liquefaction of natural gas.



Petrofac and partner Serikandi will provide engineering across all phases of the asset lifecycle for the entire portfolio of onshore and offshore assets for BSP and BLNG. All engineering and design work will be undertaken in Brunei, with the team located at offices in Kuala Belait.

Yes there's lot of difference between scheduler and planning engineer who knows how to look at the big Pic with analytical skills.
Not all planning engineers are sound in that manner but they should be.
Example : Delay on certain item which will cause delay in delivery of future deliverables etc. Putting forth recovery plan etc etc..

They took some jobs with limited or no margin.

Most oil and gas people do not work in offshore.. Maybe one platform max 20-50 people. That is for manned platform. Unmanned is 0 people usually with maintenance and support crew coming every few weeks once.

Market is not so stable now altho lot of hiring there is genuine fear among many that they may be retrenched.

MMHE has increasing workload now at their yard.
Bokor CPP midway fabrication-Up to next year I believe. .

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — Petronas Gas Bhd’s net profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2018 (FY18), increased to RM1.81 billion from the previous year’s RM1.79 billion.

Revenue jumped 12.30 per cent to RM5.49 billion, the highest in the company’s history, from RM4.89 billion in FY17.

“The higher revenue was driven by successful full-year operations of the company’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal in Pengerang, Johor. This was further supported by higher revenue from the utilities segment,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

Mcdermott awarded two projects in Malaysia.

MADRID, Feb 19 — Spanish energy giant Repsol announced today it had made a substantial natural gas discovery in Indonesia along with its partners, Malaysia’s Petronas and Japan’s Mitsui Oil Exploration (Moeco).


The company described the discovery in South Sumatra as “the largest gas find in Indonesia in 18 years” and one of the 10 largest in the world over the past 12 months

My understanding for transfame is they do the HUC while this mcdermott one is for T & I
