Yup I read that article too. So far I'm happy with my FZ/XJ. FZ6R = USA recond. The Honda is slimmer and better for those who have shorter legs though. They both sound kinda similar in unmodded form.

The Honda wins hands down.

50 more CCs, more power, overall better design.

But costs more too.

The Yammie is cheaper, which translates into cheaper insurance and cheaper hutang. But the boxy swingarm, hideous tail light & ginormous turnsignals look like they're leftover parts from 1985.

I took the liberty to do some comparisons. Based on advertised specs from corresponding web sites. Check your pockets, swipe your card, enjoy the ride. cool2.gif

At first I wanted to get er6-f. But then I change my mind to cbr650f.

Its very suit for me I think. Commute daily to work, and do weekend trip sometime.

Er6f can only go 200kmh 😅. Better get R25, but maybe too small pulak. Then I saw this cbr650f. Yummy 😍

The CBR is a cool choice. Would have bought that if the price was lower. Share some pix?

Ride on safely!

The CBR has been upgraded. Yummy! But the price not so lah, I think it is about 10k more than the XJ6 Diversion F

If budget is not an issue, go for CBR650F since it's the newer bike. The CBR650F with LED lights have better power output, but starts around RM47k, while the older one starts around RM42k, and XJ6F starts around RM36k.

Pity Yamaha never upgraded the XJ6 in any way. At least Honda has updated their CB/R650.

cos the trend oversea, west esp, more n more ppl r buying naked commuter bikes... sportbikes sales are lower... plus mt is not considered 'sport' engines.. compared to R6..

price of honda is almost same as mt09 already...

Hahahaha, ya. At least put a full fairing for the MT09 and I'm sure that they'll get more buyers.

I think the XJ6/FZ6R is already outdated by modern standards and only sold in a few countries now. Most places have already replaced this bike with the MT07 and MT09. Pity there's no full fairing version of the MT07 and 09 as Honda has a fully faired and naked version of the CB/R650F.

A triple screamer with tune for top end rather than early grunt. It will be like Triumph Daytona but cheaper. ohmy.gif
