Camry buyers would hardly consider an Optima GT. And people looking at the Optima GT will generally not be interested in the Camry Hybrid.
It's a totally different crowd. I'm part of a few car groups and the types of personalities are quite evident. I think the GT is fair value for money around the 170k range considering the competitors.
Generally, they type of guys I see who bought the GT, if they had to choose another car I feel most of them would gravitate towards the Mazda 6 instead of the Camry.
I see GT position is rather unique. For that price you hardly get a sedan with such output and style. Anything more would easily go beyond the 200k mark. Albiet I'm a bit put off by lack of some features. After forking out 180k, I wouldn't want to spend more on aftermarket mod/ enhancement.
The year end promo is really tempting.
