Mixed feeling on Morata. 70M on a non starter. I would say 70M for Lukaku is justifiable, but Morata, not so.

At least Lukaku is proven in PL, starting week in week out. Morata played bit parts for Real. Only was a true starter in Juve i guess?

That's why I'm glad we didn't go for Lukaku. He's always waiting instead of helping to supply.

It was a strange game,with our only standout performer being..kante?Not much else to point out other than the fact that michy needs so much more work and minutes to even have a chance of challenging morata,willian needs to work on his decision making,pedro needs to work on his tackling and tibo needs to work on his pens.

Does anyone else think alonso had a terrible game?amateur clearances,not contributing much in attack or even defense. Hard to believe we're a week away from the new season and have practically zero depth at both wingback positions,and in defensive / central midfield. I just don't get why we were so eager to shove ruben,van ginkel and nate out the door before getting in replacements. Having said that,I'm still optimistic we'll do well this season.

Going into the game. Bakayoko and Hazard injured. Morata's 1st competitive PL game. No Costa. Fab in CMF. You know we will get over-run in the midfield. As much as i wanted a win against Arsenal. Our squad is simply not in top top form.

We need Bakayoko asap. Not sure if he can make it for our first game. Hopefully Morata is not affected by the miss. It's always 50/50 when taking a penalty. Pretty sure Morata is young and strong enough to look pass it and continue to try to impress and play well.

And hopefully the board see how thin our wingbacks are. We need 1/2 more wingbacks. And also a plan B striker, a Llorente or some sort.
Is it wishful thinking for AC Milan to come in for Costa and we go for Bellotti?
