I think what he said about the parents and ppl around them influencing is true.
Moses went for few seasons on loan and come back stronger, Kalas too (sadly he has another loan spell this season). And Sturridge before he was sold (TBF he was sold due to his playing style not quality).
But youngsters maybe their family and friends will ask them to see how players like Rashford and Alli are getting first team and such young age and look at themselves, so they become impatient

this i dont blame conte. why? ask first who set the standard? probably its roman and the board. if they dont, then conte burden will be lift a lot. see how poch develop youngsters. he got the time and the freedom. what we did is gonna be a double edge sword. if down 2 3 more years and we still aint gonna promote youngsters or didnt give them chances, our academy will be less reputable. probably the young player will just use it as a stepping stone. once out from u21, they will go search for other club that appreciate them more.

so summary, if want trophy, u got to spend spend and spend.
