University of Auckland, their new business school is impressive ask lilredridinghood, he came and visit before, he is currently in victoria university.
I know quite a number of friends doing conjoint and some of them switch from 1 degree to another, so I can say that it is quite flexible. I'm currently in AUT, which our business school just received the "best business educator in NZ" by VERO. It is kinda new university, but if u're keen on doing more practical stuff, AUT seems to be a good choice as well . We're rank 2nd on finance and accounting research in NZ as well But in terms of the degrees offered in AUT, it is rather limited QUOTE (lilredridinghood @ Sep 5 2008, 12:15 PM) jom rumah putih This post has been edited by psyeo: Sep 10 2008, 09:04 PM |

QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Sep 11 2008, 02:27 AM) hahahaha, on a serious note, if you are looking to have a busier lifestyle and NZ is the only option, try to get to Auckland Uni or AUT, as Wellington, although is the capital city of NZ, is not exactly the busiest place. Whereas at Auckland, still quiet though, but much better than Wellington. Not to mention, much more Asians hence less chances of you getting homesick as it is not always easy to hang out with a Kiwi guy/gal, making friends is easy though. haha that's why we are call J.A.F.A (just another friendly Aucklander/just another f**cking aucklander), haha, sorry for my rudeness Even though I was impressed at Auckland Uni's new business school, I have never regretted choosing Wellington as my destination. As some Kiwis would say, Auckland is not like other NZ states and the people there are less friendly as compared to the others. Some of my Kiwi friends even said that some Aucklanders are stuck up. However, it is not a secret that New Zealanders hate Auckland, due to various reasons. Although I do notice that Aucklanders aren't as friendly as the Wellingtonians, I recently met a couple of AUT students who came to Wellington last Friday for a drink, they are quite alright to be honest. I guess the unfriendliness is due to the large Asian population over there. Other than that, Vic has a very good reputation of its commerce and administration faculty, do tell me what major are you looking forward to do and I shall comment about the lecturers. Do look at my previous long post, if you wish to know more about NZ education |

QUOTE(aaron4d @ Sep 17 2008, 01:08 AM) thx for all ur thoughts guyz... I received offer from University of Queensland, University of Adelaide, NSW, QUT as well...im currently in a dillemma i got a place in the university of adelaide for the Bachelor of Commerce.. its a group of eight uni btw, for any of u ppl who dont alredi noe. the question now is, shud i accept the place at adelaide or go to victoria uni wellington, which i havent applied for yet on the basis of my new zealand pr? wic wud be the best option for me? (in terms of career prospects etc.) thanks guyz haha but end up in NZ as well~ career wise, for Marketing Major, i guess it all depends to ur personal portfolio and skills....unlike other professional majors that place a very big emphasis on ur grades. So i guess, no matter which University u go to should be fine, as long as the University is widely recognize.. |

QUOTE(aaron4d @ Sep 20 2008, 03:35 AM) hmm, is a very long story, some minor problem occurs during the moment when i was choosing where to go....there seems to have some serious racist activities going on in Aussie during that period.., there are several other reasons that i do not wish to disclose any regrets? yes, expensive and lousy internet service, Vodafone monopolized the GSM network = super expensive phone plans and phone.. Other than that, no other major regrets I met quite a lot of great friends and ppl here as well Added on September 21, 2008, 6:53 pm QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Sep 21 2008, 05:16 PM) never, I will never go Welly again aiseh, Welly only got Duyung bar rite? What i heard about Law school in UoA is that, everyone is for themselves, super competitive.....thus a lot of hating here and there
never the less, the law school should be quite reputable in NZ This post has been edited by psyeo: Sep 25 2008, 09:46 AM |

QUOTE(fantagero @ Nov 6 2008, 04:00 AM) no idea.. it's too far down south.. and down south.. it's colder.. lol Q: When can fireworks legally be sold? until when can we play the firecrackers?? coz i bought a lot today.. but didnt play coz it was and still damn cold rite now.. i heard it is raining all over nz.. and it's kinnda rare.. u rented van for ur trip ey?? A: Fireworks can only be sold in a four-day period leading up to and including Guy Fawkes Day (November 5), ie between 2 November and 5 November. This is a reduction from the 2006 sale period of 10 days. Q: Is it legal to use fireworks outside of the Guy Fawkes period (2 November to 5 November)? A: There are no restrictions on when retail fireworks may be used, as long as they are used considerately and safely. there you go Source Going to play some fireworks this coming saturday Yoohoo...I'm finally done with my Bachelor and Grad Diploma on second thought....now I have to start Job hunt dy.. ps. anyone in Auckland keen to have a TT session in Auckland before I fly back home for holidays? Added on November 6, 2008, 9:44 am QUOTE(aaron4d @ Nov 6 2008, 02:20 PM) hey lilred, what is the cheapest flight to wellington available now? There's no direct flight from KL to Wellington, so what route do u normally take? N whats the rough estimate of the ticket price (incl. tax n surcharge) a return ticket bought in NZ for the travel period between Nov to Feb is around NZD 1.5 to 1.8K the ticket that I bought in Feb cost MYR 4,340 in total for a return one-year open ticket KLIA<->AKL AFAIk, the normal route that you can take (the least transit) are Through MAS (KLIA) and Singapore Airline (Changi) to AKL, and from there take Air NZ or Qantas or Pacific Blue to Wellington a cheaper alternative: Fly Air Brunei 767, or you can fly Airasia to Gold Coast, then transfer flight to AKL, and then to Wellington RArrrr....when is the big bird A380 going to fly the KLIA/Changi<-->AKL route This post has been edited by psyeo: Nov 6 2008, 09:50 AM |

QUOTE(huix @ Nov 10 2008, 04:00 AM) Got a question to ask... NZ is using the accounting standard same as Malaysia (aka UK commonwealth standard)? It is not completely the same, they're using NZ IFRS, which are still compliant with the IFRS.. while they are different from US GAAP. u should be alright studying accounting here..This post has been edited by psyeo: Nov 10 2008, 10:27 AM |
