where is backpackers place.its near to university??did we need to rent ar car there or we just use the public transport?

if you just live near the uni, then walking is fine.

Ilam is more expensive than renting outside. But the good thing is that you will mix with people from different races compared if you are renting outside.

the internet is unlimited if i am mistaken.

Hi. Got a question needed to be cleared here.

My Pre-U results are out and NZ is one of my top choices for further studies.

I noticed that if I wanted to be admitted this year that would mean I have to be enrolled into the so called Semester 2 period, which is at around July if I am not mistaken.

Some universities do no recommend going into Sem2 directly and instead encourages students to wait for Sem1 intake period especially for those interested in engineering and science. Though that would mean I have to wait until next year.

The problem is that would I be in serious disadvantage if I were to just go straight in into Sem2?

That's probably because, for a some courses, the 1st semester papers are prerequisites for 2nd semester ones.
For example, you may need to do PHYC 101 and 102 in the first year (and to progress to 2nd year papers). But PSYC 101 is only offered in semester 1 and PSYC 102 only in semester 2. Same for 2nd year papers 201 and 202.

Then there's fully year papers, were you do one paper over two semesters. They will start in semester 1, so obviously you can't do it if you only start uni in semester 2.

I suggest you check the papers on offer for the course you want to do. Try and work out if you'll be able to take all papers in the right order, without wasting time waiting for another semester/year.

Almost all internships I know of are handled by students with the companies directly, you need to apply to them.
Unis do have summer scholarships/research projects tho.

Hi, i would like to know how to obtain a motorcycle license in NZ if i don't have a malaysia motorcycle license for convertion. Based on the NZ gov site, i need a learner's license in order to ride a 250cc bike. How u guys commute around there?
