Now the question is whether you know how to use, for this job I find entry level camera used unit (under RM 1,000) with a cheap lens like 18-55 can get it done.

Lighting depends on your situation, 35 people I'm assuming 3 rows of 12 people is easy peasy but you just need to know how to go about.

Yes worse case scenario just go with that P mode (aka PANIC mode) then it's fine.

Cheapest body and lens alone RM 1.8k

Best flash available now costs RM 2.4k sad.gif

I just done searching at lazada, seller name miyamondo, canon 760d 18-55mm rm3190, speedlite 430ex111 rm1k++..its within my budget
Worth it? Import set means no warranty from manufacturer right?

Yeah, it means warranty through the shop. They settle for you. Canon Malaysia will not recognize the set.

430EX II not the strongest among the flash units, it gets the job done. It's not as strong as the 600 but if the room isn't that big then it'll do.

Just make sure your ceiling has room to bounce the flash.

760D + 18-55mm will be more than enough for the usual group photos. a lot of the time it matters more on how you coordinate and arrange everyone's position instead of what camera you are using.

btw, are you interested in used canon 580ex II by any means? I have one extra unit that im letting go.

sad.gif You want brand new hor, actually very limited.

In my experience, I'll take the 580EX II any day over 430EX II. I love 430EX II, they are used in most of my work but they're for product shoots.

For events and group photos, I will go with the 580EX II. I have both anyway. 600EX RT is too pricey at the moment for anyone.

gx7 and em5 II are way more expensive than rm4k if you include lens and flash gun.

Hmm, if that is the case then maybe the G7 or em10 mark II.

G7 is like a mini DSLR with 4k video and photo features.

I personally have em10 mark I.
It is compact, offering ergonomic design and satisfactory IQ.
