Bought my vios from cheras tmn midah (umw) and sales advisor says to service there but I'm closer to toyota balakong (wing Hin). Salesman says balakong will deny warranty for some parts. How true is this?

Bullshit. Toyota SC is shit anyway.

Midah SC is total shit.

Complained absorber leak on 2nd service, say is moist.
Then 3rd service complain bearing have noise (due to absorber issue spread to the bearing), then say it is still ok. Once finish the 30k km warranty, immediately say bearing have noise, absorber need change.

Anyway how come you bought from Taman Midah? The SA there, my personal experience, majority like no layan one also.

Ask your SA take your car to service and drive it back for you. I mean, really, your call. You decide.

For me I would never go Midah UMWT ever again, buy or service.

I bought from Toyota Terengganu.. now working in KL, my fav SC is PJ Sec14.. always drop off car for early bird (normally before 6am), and most nearest to lrt (asia jaya)..

Toyota SC is lousy? I would say partially true.. depends on your luck to get good Service Advisor.. after all, they're business oriented.. and SA got some portion out of total services charged

Don't ever service your Toyota at this old Klang rd SC near midvalley.
Damage the car interior n only give free tyre balancing on next car service.
Worst Toyota SC in KL.

UMWT's service record is online and all the SCs including the dealers SC have the assess to it, so they should be the same in claiming warranty.

Only benefit that I can think of, could be that if you go back to the same branch where you bought the car, maybe they will be a bit more proactive in helping the claim since they have earn some money from your car purchase. Just my assumption though.

So laughable, that sales advisor that service you still new on the job?

Any authorised SC listed in the toyota website anywhere in the peninsular can service your car without voiding the official warranty.

Depend on service centers, some very easy to claim warranty on parts. My hilux absorber leak at 9000+km and warranty claim during the oil service at 10000km..

I would like to share my toyota SC story here near IOI mall puchong.

I managed to claim these item during warranty period of 3 year but of course i have scarified my significant time to visit here because this branches always full/pack and the waiting time is killing, just normal service will take about at least 4 to 5 hours to complete.

1) Claimed total of 6 tyres
worn out outer part of the front tyre after that i give up to claim anymore by fixing it outside by adding chamber screw.

2) Claimed full set door trim rubbers due to wind noise
Issue fixed by adding some glue on the pillar. Great jobs by SC technician.

3) Claimed aircon blower fan motor
Due to noisy sound at fan level 2

4) Claimed one set of lower arm
Due to cracking sound after the speed bump

5) Repaint the lower chassis at passenger side.
Accidentally notice there is a long stretch under the car during collecting my car but lucky manager agreed to fix it free for me.

As for now, i only service my car at TOYOTA SC when it reach to time for changing gear oil and break oil.

Last month, my car facing jerking issue during pickup and my regular workshop can't fix it after they plug in the ECU device and diagnose.

After that i sent my car to SC near bukit puchong to run the ECU diagnostic again but no error code found. Technician advice jerking issue caused by the spark plug which i changed not long ago probably less than one year. Voila it resume back to normal condition. Thump up the technician.

Lastly, i would like to sum up a conclusion here japanese car is proven in term of reliability, totally no regret at all and my car currently clocked at mileage 195K km and is time for me to change the original absorber but still in usable condition. Thanks for all by spending your time to read up my lengthy story here. Thanks again
