This, +1. S8 in Malaysia uses an exynos chipset with 'adaptive fast charging'. It's the equivalent of Qualcomm's QC 2.0

No offense but it kinda gets on my nerves when people post wrong facts here which imo can mislead others. Sure they don't mean it but I think it'll be beneficial to all parties if they do a double check with a simple Google search before posting an answer.

It does not, let alone greatly unless the protector is badly scratched or smudged.

Oh I forgot Malaysia money only got value before you buy anything.
The moment you part with your money value and rights diminished.
Service industry here non existent.
I managed to get 2 HTC phones (which I will never ever buy again) changed to new sets by contacting HTC directly -bypassing the high class Ah Beng run business (what business ethics whistling.gif)

Are you saying if you pay 2k+ you cannot demand? So if you pay 3k+ you can?
*
What logic are you applying? Going by how you rationalised, if I purchase a car and the engine develops some problems, I can ask for a new car in replacement. Or let's talk about a lesser valued item like a TV for instance. Screen problem, demand for new set!?

Does the above not sound absurd? Whilst as a consumer, I would like for that to happen, there are certain commercial policies and terms/conditions which we have to live with. It has nothing to do with the service standards in the case in question.

Only in 3rd world country this rule applies I guess.
When you have a mindset of a 3rd world country and serviced by 3rd world business principles but craving 1st world technology thats what you get.
Why is that in North America & Europe say you buy your spanking new S8 and find something wrong within the warranty period they just replace you with a new one - no questions asked.
It's the local business here thats lazy to take the initiative to ensure customer satisfaction.
I ask you did the Americans or Europeans pay more for this service?

You are something else! Here, we have someone broaching the subject of an issue with a device in our country here which you have responded earlier by giving an example of another make of mobile phone, again here locally but in reply you are citing countries at the other side of the ocean with totally different cultures and business approaches.

In those countries, items purchased after a short period of time can be returned and money refunded without questions. Here, it is unheard of. This is one of many examples of the commercial practices I was talking about which consumers in their respective countries have to follow. So, please address the point of contention and not give examples or cite practices which are not prevalent in our businesses locally.

You think by showing your balls are big can problem solve? This is not Singapore.

Do show us you exchange  a Samsung phone after 1 month not HTC with 1 to 1 exchange policy .

I always address the matter/issue at hand, unlike many characters here. This will then do away with them looking like fools or smart alecs. Never one to assume or presume anything. So, when I get a response to my post, I ask a pertinent question first before reacting.

No one is butt hurt. We are just discussing and giving away some information that some minorities doesnt know about the real cost of production. I was once a person who thought that the cost of a TG production is around rm20-50. But from this forum based discussion, i knew that the cost is around less than what i expected.

Well, at least some of us know that there are ppl have the same thoughts about this matter. If there are no claims about this matter, perhaps we believed that what we are telling is wrong and false statement.

it is just a discussion... Peace icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, a forum is for discussion and sharing of information. However, when one makes remarks to an extent of admonishing other parties, then it invites rebuttal.

If only the subject matter is addressed, then no one will have any reason to get slighted.
