Thinking to buy this phone S8+.

Umobile seems to have a good deal. Worth it? RM 21xx to RM25xx depending on whether you subscribe to the RM90 or RM130 plan.

Currently i am already using RM98 (P98) plan with a subline, costing around RM 12x. The UMD plans only need RM 10 for subline....

Besides, phone bill is sponsored by company...

Worth it or not? But what i dun like is the phone so jalat long like iPhone bodoh.

New S8+ owner here. Wanna ask. The charger ratings seems to be a different from the older Samsung phones.

S8+: 9V / 1.67A
5V / 2.0A

Older chargers : 5V / 2.0A

Can i charge the phone using any 5v/ 2.0A charger?

Inb4 S8+ explode due to user plug wrong charger.

Thanks. I just ran mysamsung apps, but how do i know if it's registered? If it's under mydevice, means it's registered? How do i know e-warranty until when? Don't see anything....

Got new update today?

Using the S8+ for 2 days now. i have given up on the finger scanner (location stupid, keeps accidentally smudge my camera). Iris Scanner seems to work only when there is decent light. But what i don't like is have to open eyes then to activate the scanner. Really feels stupid in public.

Now back to ancient pattern swiping to unlock....

So far only thing i don't like. The long shape is quiet acceptable as it doesn't really interferes with watching videos and surfing web might actually be a bit better a can have wider screen, good for reading forums like lowyat.net.

Problem is i have a flip case, very hard to put finger there. Everytime sure smudge the camera.

One thing i don't understand. I press the home button. Screen pops out like 1 second. Before i can read further, it goes off again. I need to quickly swipe up to key in the swipe button. Is this normal?

It's not about reaching for it. It's the placement lah. Almost every review is complaining about this. IMO, it's the only drawback of this phone.

Especially if you have casing on that's limiting the space for the finger to place on the sensor. You will regularly touch the camera and smudge it.

Is it? Planning to buy a X-ONE this weekend. Samsung SP cover whole phone front to back???

Smart Watch is pretty much dead. I suggest forget about it. Until the day they can make it thin like a real watch without needing to charge battery everyday, then onky i will consider.

Hi, anyone can tell me the Samsung backup function backup data to where? It doesn't say anything or let you choose where to backup??

PS: I am currrently also using Google Backup, but i think Google backup only backup contacts and Samsung backup all the apps data as well.
