QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Aug 6 2017, 05:37 PM) Seriously, Hao 5D despite being good, it's extremely overpriced. TG get chipped easily, there goes your RM300. I'll rather buy the screen protection (still have change left for other accessories), change a new screen next year. For another year? You probably changed a new phone. For those who is still eligible better go for the plan la, but if more than one month already hao is an alternative. Haha. If me, i rather go naked then slapping the grainy piece of sp on my phone. |

QUOTE(elgan @ Aug 7 2017, 11:35 AM) I'm using the Spigen Neo Hybrid. Thickness is acceptable to me as it gives a nice balance between protection and bulkiness. I use my phone for running, so I need to be sure of the protection. but still the s8 fp scanner is way too slow and inaccurate for a flagship One unexpected advantage of the design is that the rear camera/sensor opening lets me position my finger quickly when on the fingerprint scanner. |

i have the scrren protection plan but i still apply the Hao. Tried a lot of screen protectors already but all have issues from non compatible to grainy issue. For those who say the hao5d and cheap tg is the same really lol, never try before never know. I work in a phone shop every sem break, ofc i know all about the cost. Maybe im perfecionist, cant accept the low quality sp that affect the screen experience of s8. Do you guys went to Taiwan before? Hao is a reputable coating brand/sp there, not some ching2 chong2 china stuff. Anyway it is a bit more expensive than clearcoat and whitestone is even more.
Despite the high price, everything else is perfect. The oleophobic coating, cutting, alligning, fitting is diff from normal sp. ALl full adhesive glass sp hovers around that price if you really do the research. Just sharing infos, good stuff and price is expensive, dont buy. Cheers. |

QUOTE(elgan @ Aug 7 2017, 01:09 PM) When I first bought the S8 and used it without a case, I thought the fingerprint sensor was poorly positioned too. It took a while to hunt for if you don't look at it, and will usually end up smudging the camera lens. But now with a case, the edge of camera/sensor opening helps guide my finger to the fp sensor really quickly. I can pick up and unlock my phone in one smooth motion. S5 is slow also. Try huawei p10 and oppo r9s fp scanner. Almost unlock instantaneously unlike s8. Just a quick and slight tap can unlock. Other than that s8 is great. Samsung shud improve the fp scanner.I have no complains about the fp sensor's speed and accuracy; probably because my previous phone is an S5. |

QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Aug 7 2017, 02:22 PM) yes it is slow. Samsung FP scanner sucks even till the S8 era. Not to mention the weird placement. I kinda like the face recognition though more so than the iris scanner. True that. Really wish that my p10 fp scanner is on my s8. Hahaha. Still dont really und which is the best cond for the iris to work. Lots of light or low light.btw. it's not that ppl here can't take criticism, it's more like the other party cannot take disagreement and valid argument. |

QUOTE(ChaosSixth @ Aug 7 2017, 02:42 PM) That iris scanner has problem with chinese eyes. My eyes are small. But to other of my friends with huge eyes are easy to scan. I feel hopeless now though samsung is produced by koreans which has small eyes too unless plastic surgery comes to place That 'open eyes fully'. Hahahah |

QUOTE(hnr2802 @ Aug 7 2017, 03:45 PM) installed clear coat at pavilion yesterday..and today my screen have a long scratch mark on the screen. First time using clear coat product. Not sure what is the hype about this protection. Rubberry feeling & easily scratched when i put in my pocket. I think tempered glass is the best. But not sure it have end to end screen protection coverage. Yep. This rubbery material are easily scratched. Got but expensive. |

QUOTE(ace-user @ Aug 8 2017, 11:44 AM) Sharing: So this totally remaps the button without launching the bixby first?those who used pdp to disable bixby can now use this app to remap the button: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+...esting-t3646742 there's 3 different modes, normal click, long press and double click. Really incredible app. It's not like those remap app where it launches bixby and then the app straight puts it back to sleep, this app works with bixby disabled. I have the normal click to launch google assistance and long press to mute, works great! |

QUOTE(ace-user @ Aug 8 2017, 12:51 PM) Yes, but you have to leave bixby voice enabled. Other bixby related bloatware can disable. No wonder cant enable.i already disabled all bixby service. May i know how you did the excute command stuff with pc?It works really really well even though the app is in beta. |
