Hi girls smile.gif

I have been battling visible pores for quite some time. They're not super big la but are visible if I have no makeup on. sweat.gif

For day and night routine I use Naruko Raw Job Tears foam cleanser, lotion(toner?), essence and moisturizer from friend's recommendation coz she said the product helped her reduce visible pores on her face. After using the products do feel the tightening effect and can see smoother skin but after an hour I can see my pores opening up again unsure.gif

I use before a Korean brand clay mask my friend bought back from Korea before but not much effect also. sigh.

Any tips and products to recommend for me?. rclxms.gif

Toner isn't lotion. It's 2 totally different thing.

- Firstly you cleanse your face
- Secondly you need to tone
- Thirdly you need to nourish via serums (this is optional)
- Lastly you need to moisturize with a face moisturizer

Then once or twice a week you can use a face mask or face scrub if your cleanser doesn't have exfoliating properties. Another optional step is double cleansing via oil cleansing method, more suitable for those that put on make ups regularly.

For pores, you need to look for ingredients with astringent properties. Usually in toners. For example rose water or witch hazel.

For firming up your skin, you need to look for ingredients that improves skin firmness or elasticity. Usually in serums or face moisturizers. For example kigelia africana.

Thanks for the info..

I do use scrub to exfoliate every week.

Naruko seems to call their Toner "Lotion". Really confusing... rclxub.gif

Errr......can't really read the website.

Toners are usually like water, very liquid. In fact, floral water makes great toners.

Lotions to me, is something for the body. Thick creamy texture. If it's for face, that'll be creams.....also thick texture. Learning skincare & practicing a full regime may seem tedious, but it's good to start early so that you don't accidentally damage your skin. If you can't afford the good ones, it's fine. At least stay away from the toxic ones.

That's not the purpose of toner lol.gif

A toner with the right ingredients can shrink your pores, balance off your oil/sebum production, balance back your skin pH after cleansing & cleans soap leftovers.

I also have enlarged pores around my nose and cheeks, and my Dermatologist recommended that I rub ice, wrapped in a thin fabric, on my face twice a day. I researched, and it is indeed beneficial. I've been doing it for two weeks, and though results aren't instant they will be long term. There has been some improvement.

My friend used Neigene Skin care and her skin condition improved, she used to have acne scars and big pores; used make up to cover up, comes with 60 days money back guarantee as well.

You're welcome! Just remember NOT to rub the ice directly on your face because it can damage your skin. Something like a frostbite would occur. I learned this the hard way. biggrin.gif

try cyber colour zero pore primer available at sasa. its my go-to product when i don't have foundation with me. pores become less obvious, it provides a silky velvety feeling that i find works well as a base for foundation or even without foundation.
