I am the first GigaWatt customer in here.

I hope you can join me.

Just buy one L3+ with 880 tokens will do. Cheapest entry-level litecoin mining without any stress.

All the maintenance is handled by GigaWatt.  smile.gif
*
im keen on getting some ltc too, but did a quick looked around and there is not much info on this gigawatt, saw his youtube farm etc... not much people are saying much about WTT.

Im actually leaning on to buy the l3+ from bitmain themself and ship it from us to malaysia and mine myself,
just scared this gigawatt is some vaporware.

what are your thoughts?
i admit i have only done quick research on gigawatt,
genesis mining is no problem for me its reputable.

To join GigaWatt, I have to:

1) Purchase L3+ antminer for 51 LTC
2) Purchase 880 WTT token in order to host my miner at their storage facility?

So total cost will be 51 LTC plus 880 WTT tokens?
*
QUOTE(Nidz @ Jul 5 2017, 10:17 PM)
So, if I got limited funds, I purchase WTT tokens first and rent it out.

Then, when I can purchase the L3+ in the next couple months, then I can use the tokens to pay for the hosting service?

And this 880 tokens can cover the cost for 50 years of hosting?
*
QUOTE(raynman @ Jul 5 2017, 10:08 PM)
Exactly. You got that right.  rclxms.gif
*
1) purchace L3+ from gigawatt (not bitmain)?
880 token cover costs of hosting, electric, setup and maintenance of the miner for 50 years?? hummm
i dont get how they work? that is supper cheap maintenance fee? or is it expected that the token price to increases in future?
is token tradable like crypto?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1914900.0

it states:
"Each Giga Watt Token (WTT) represents the right to sue the Giga Watt processing center's capacity, rent-free for 50 years, to accomodate 1 Watt's worth of mining equipment power consumption."

= sounds like rent, host, electricity, maintenance free for 50 years to me.
but then....

it states:
"Usually, Giga Watt charges hosting fees which covers the rent of facility capacity, and electricity and maintenance.
Token owners pay no rent, which further slashes ongoing cost."

token owners pay no rent, what about electricity and maintenance on my hardware? i guess the electricity is going to be the biggest cost.

assume they sell all 30m tokens for USD1.1 = they will have 33mil is enough for them to pay/rent land, build pods, and pay for electricity + maintenance for 50 years??
what if electricity cost doubles in his area in the next 2 years?

for 880 tokens = USD968 assume i mine for 2 years only, that is USD 40 a month how is that going to cover their cost of rent/electricity? thats only 2 years not 50 year
if 50 years its only USD1.6 a month?
Am I missing something????

rayman have you read their 29 page whitepaper ? lol
i getting keen on this idea, will probably have to read it myself soon before i buy in.

I getting this too, i think what happen to me was i proceeded to the payment page without paying as I was reading on their tnc and waiting for raynman 3% code, maybe they giving me a timeout.

Read it properly.

The WTT token only covers RENTAL.

Tokens are effective for 50 years.

We pay for electricity at 2.8 cents per KwH.

We pay for maintenance fees at 0.5 cents per KwH.

Electricity and maintenance fees are deducted from the daily mining payout.

Electricity rates are the cheapest in the world.
*
Ok raynman thanks for the clarification re electric cost 3.3c is cheap, honestly i have read that site https://cryptonomos.com/wtt few times yesterday, too much reading yesterday, still blur.

Ive done more reading since today
now just to use this link as a case study, im still confused,
https://cryptoinsider.com/good-true-intervi...r-dave-carlson/

First of all in the artical I lol so hard when i saw the pictures of signboard,
"Bought pizza for 5k bitcoins in 2010
Worht $3.5 mil now.
Most expensive chow of my life."

ok back to business
their example is running a 3x S9 @ 1455Watt each (daily hosting fee savings on 4365 WTT tokens when accommodating own miners.)
running a 3x S9 @ 1455W (1.1 * 1323W) web calculator
electricity for 4365W at USD 0.0033 per day $3.46
electricity for 4365W at USD 0.0033 per month $103.71

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calcul...ostPerkWh=0.033

how did they come up with daily hosting fees ($10.21) ??

I bought my HashNest AntL3 contract from the open market.

You can buy the hashrate you need with LTC deposited into your account.

You can queue up with the price you want to buy, or buy instantly from the lowest seller price.

Mining starts immediately after buying.

Ohh I see its on the

where is the T&C on these open market contract? is it the same as the Shop Tab?

first of all thanks raynman for intoducing to us all these deals, I see you have alread help lots of people invest in cloud mining including me.

These open market price of L3,
Just read the T&C but have few question:
-I assume you buy Hashrate contract with no end date, similar to Genesis?
-Or do you actually buy the old 2nd hand Machine? what if it breaks down in 90days?

T&C states:
"If mining farms may no longer continue operating due to change in legal status, war, earthquake, fire, electricity failure, or other acts of God, Hashnest does not assume responsibility for compensation"

Meaning if they say their factory got burn down after a month coz if shitty electricity wiring, they will not compensate, Im assume they dont disclose where the miner is located?
What happens to your 90MHS? and 29LTC?

Using your example
Hashate MHS 90
Cost LTC 29.7698
Payout Total LTC 0.42032576
Maintenance LTC 0.0121640

My calculations are as follow:
your 90MHS consumes 144 Watt (L3 is 250mhs with 400watt)
us0.07 electric and maintenance fee per kw/h
Units per month 104
USD per day 0.24192 fee ?
USD per month 7.25 fee

But your screen shows
Maintenance LTC 0.0121640 which is about USD 0.52 ???
even if you divide 0.52 by 3 days since you run its still USD0.173?

You are too calculative than me... walao... It is very hard to proceed further if you count this.

I never go into such detailed analysis. The most important ratio for me is the ROI and breakeven.

I wonder why you wanna go to calculate the electricity fee and the maintenance since it is beyond your control and you can't go to talk with Bitmain to tell them

hey, your price is expensive and can you reduce?
*
to each his own.

Yes agree most important is ROI
ROI = (Gross income- FEE) / Total Investment * 100

I already put 90mhs, and 144 watt, and 0.07c electric, and 1% pool fee, in the online calculator, and ROI is about 6 months in theory
Just want to confirm with raynman if thats what he is getting.

As I cant workout raynman phone app if hashnet is showing similar figures on Payment and Fee which effects ROI, I cant figure it out thats why I asked him.
That is a fair question would you not agree?
No one will try to haggle with bitmain on fee price, this is not basak malam.

Online calculator ROI is one thing, and actual ROI is another thing,
Im sure you know this as well

And also in the unlikely circumstance the machine burns down after a month you rugi your 29 LTC?
or are you buying Hashrate like genesis, the T&C is not clear.

T&C
2. Because redeemed hardware is, by nature, secondhand, Hashnest cannot guarantee the quality or remaining life of a machine. Older units may not hash as efficiently as they once did. Hashnest cannot guarantee that every redeemed machine will operate as though it were new.

Is that what you thought I said, why dont you try reading it again?

My conclusion after spending a day reading is seems legit, but also too good to be true, but still legit
I was going to buy 2 unit L3+ last weekend, and let gigawatt host one, while I host the other one myself, hedging my bets.

Then my mining friend convinced me to host it all myself as we have the technical know how and location to do so, as I can get gigawatt to host it for me at a later time down the road, assuming I can rent/buy their WTT tokens. I dont mind paying extra for rent or buying WTT at US2 when the time comes, that the price for me waiting and see.
My friends L3+ will be arriving very shortly as he order months ago, setting up L3+ will be a piece of cake compare to GPU rig.
His associates are also going to by more L3+ in the near future, if for any reason I dont want to use my L3+ I should be able to sell it easily, may even Jack the price up a bit.

QUOTE(raynman @ Jul 13 2017, 05:07 AM)
Aiya, he thought he is very smart saying the price of L3+ is only 40 LTC buying directly from Bitmain, while it is 51 LTC with GigaWatt.

Like you, he forgot about the 40 LTC price at Bitmain doesn't come with PSU, with no shipping charges included and no import tax included.

Best of all, he forgot that GigaWatt is hosting the L3+ for us, while we enjoy collecting our LTC payout everyday in a peaceful, quiet and cool environment. laugh.gif
*
No one is perfect yah

I did forget about the PSU and delivery but that is still around 5.6 - 5 LTC extra, in all honestly I would not mind paying that.

Never claim I was smart, only claim I had more options then other people, I weigh my options and decide.

I asked my friends about repairs times, there are fast shipments methods to and from China, and we are prepare to take the risk.
Also with gigawatt you cant remote in to your rig, there is no way in knowing if they are oc'ing your rig and paying you the normal hasrate, or tell you that your rig is broken when it actual fact its not, or what if my rig got burn down in one of the pods they compensate? some skepticism is healthy

But like I said I have the technical know how and location to host it, these are my options, just feel safer if the I can have full control of my equipment.
I understand some people dont have accesses to spare/free rental property, also dont have the technical know how to maintain a rig, likes hassle free turn key mining experience, cloud mining suits them as its their ONLY option into mining, and it usually cost more but what choice do they have?

Like I said earlier I do think gigawatt is legit, and will most probably get them to host my rigs in the future, but for now my current options are explains above.

Oh one last thing that was strange about gigawatt, I think over the weekend I remember seeing their stocks are now push back to October, and since I saw bitmains website was cheaper and FASTER , still says September at the time I ordered, that is also a major major factor in my decision in hosting it myself.
Then recently gigawatt has updated their website and says its back to September, not sure whats happening there, creating some kind of panic buy?
Their Tokens are not all sold yet, I can always buy before it finishes, but with L3+ I dont have that option.

Time will tell with gigawatt, would love for them to host my rigs down the line when its no longer profitable hosting it myself as Malaysia electricity bill is high.
Who know by then maybe a L4 may be in the market, but at least by then every one will have a better feel about gigawatt.

Its all about options, claiming one option is superior then another option when they have no choice in options, is kind of like talking with an born and bread Christians vs Atheist

I was actually going to applaud you for posting a detailed and thorough explanation of your circumstances. But that comparison you made at the end about Christians and Atheists is unnecessary and, in all honestly, kind of low.  Besides, I fail to see any correlation it has with the point that you're trying to make. Do explain.
*
Sorry if I offend any Atheists / Christians out there.
Yeh religion is a touchy issue, you can swap it out with born bread Muslim vs Free Thinker as an option.
And apologist in advance if I offend any Free Thinker / Muslim out here too.

My thinking at the time was my personal experience born and bread Religion has been raised one way under their circumstance,
tens to be staunch on their view, their religion is the right religion etc...
and a Atheists / Free thinker has the ability to choose to be to remain as they are or to get involved in a particular religion if they choose.

Let me try to find another analogy:

Its like saying
Person A only has Malaysian passport, and can only work and live in Malaysia.
Person B has Malaysian passport, and also Singapore PR, Person B can live/work in both countries as they choose.

But then Person A keeps saying, how good Malaysia is compared to Singapore, and all the benefits that Malaysia has compared to Singapore
To a degree they start to mock Person B for living/working in Singapore.

In retrospect I should stay away from the religion topic, or even this Malaysia vs Singapore stuff.

As I have already explained I have options, and there are many ways to mine, all comes with pros and cons.
No single way is the right or better way.
And people should respect that.

And that's why I'm saying that your analogy is flawed.

My understanding of what you were trying to say is - those who do not have the luxury of choice should not claim superiority over the those who have, correct? If we apply that that argument to your analogy, then what you're then saying is that born and bred Christians do not have the choices that Atheists do, and hence should not claim that they are more superior than the latter. I don't know about you, but as far as I know, there was and is always a choice between whether you want to exercise your Christian faith or not, same goes for most other religions. And that works the same way for Atheists, no? So how can you justify that your analogy is correct when the fundamentals are flawed, to begin with. The born and bred Christians, as you may call them, have as much of a choice as the Atheists do, be it personally or legally. In fact, if you would've done proper research, most Atheists now are either once born Christians or had Christian heritages. So to say, that Christians don't have a choice? That's not so much being ignorant as being offensive.

tl;dr - not an apple to apple comparison. But if you claim that it is, then it would be offensive, to say the least.

Disclaimer: Jack2 and I don't have the best relationship on LYF, so I'm definitely not writing these to spite you, or to defend him whatsoever.

Yes true my analogy with religion is flawed, and I apologist if I offend any Atheist/Freethinkers/Christians/Muslims

Hi fellow members, I have been reading this thread and it has taken my full attention! Especially Ray, denim and jacks' persuasive posts.

I am in the midst of ordering about 20 units of L3+ From bitmain to be hosted in my own warehouse but after reading, I'm torn on whether to host it myself or at GiggaWatt.

My question is, if I were to want my machines returned to me say after a year of mining at their facility, is that possible? What are their terms of returning of our own miners?

Also, as I am new to mining (less than a month but very excited to start), as I was thinking about how to pay bitmain, since I do not own any BTC or LTC or any crypto at the moment, will the local banks like maybank allow a foreign TT or bank wire to Bitmain/giggawatt if the amount exceeds 50 or 100k? If they block it, how do I actually go about purchasing these miners? Thank you and sorry for the noob questions lol
*
I purchase 2 L3+ just last week, went through the same problems you are going through now

I open a Luno account, where you can deposit RM and use exchange and buy BTC, but that takes 2-5 days for them to verify IC/Address.
You better do this ASAP, as its the safest and fastest way to get BTC assuming you already got your acc verified.
I end up using my friends Luno acc to buy BTC, took 30-60 min from start to finish first payment, then it was at midnight, took longer then usual went to sleep, but it was all complete in the morning.
Coz the potential delay and my friends account is only Level 1 verification (RM10,000 per month limit) I also used some unknown guy on telegram group that my friend recommended, they all belong in a large group with verified members and mods, there are many sellers on this telegram group, I cant enter group as I still new.

Paid bitmain.com L3+ using BTC (better no need to convert to LTC)
At the time of my order can only get 1 PSU.
Few days later PSU restock, opted to pay using PAYPAL (can use paypall if its less then US200 i think), the fees were very high, should had paid with my BTC.

I actually email bitmain if I can deposit RMB to their acc as that would be my best option as have funds stuck in China, they just replied a week later they only accept BTC/LTC/USWIRE.

There are also many options in getting Crypot eg facebook, forum, exchanges websites etc.... But the safest if you use Luno or borrow a friends Luno account or find a reputable seller that you trust.
You should read the this first page, has lots of useful info re places to get Crypto, and lots of friendly/helpful people there too.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm a paranoid person so I'd rather pay extra for shipping and stuff and host them myself. I'd be happy to cloud mine if its just buying hash power, but since this involves real machines and GigaWatt is new, I'd rather have the machines where I can see them. But 20 of them will make quite a noise lol. laugh.gif
*
I agree with you on this one

SpongeY:

My current plan was to host it myself fist coz I can I know how, got few free empty house/shoplots to choose which is a plus.
Later when ltc return/electricial cost gets low, I try get gigawatt to host, or even retire machines and get the new L4+ or what ever.

20 L3+ is a lot to hedge it all on gigawatt, overseas. anything can happen
initially I was going to host 1 form gigawatt, and other I host myself to hedge my bets, but then my friend convinced me to host it all myself, since I already got a few GPU rigs already, also ordering L3+ from gigawatt charge extra 5.6-5LTC each and takes weeks longer too.

You have warehouse and skills, options where most people dont, I suggest you do a hedge your bets, maybe 20/80
or do similar to me host myself, later get gigawatt to host (hybrid of best of both worlds), thats assuming you can still rent/exchange WTT tokens at a later time, currently their Tokens are not even sold out yet, its almost a month and they only sold half Tokens available.

No one can see the future, 20x L3+ in gigawatt is about RM285,000 or USD65k no small amount, there is no insurance,
you have options choose, if you split your hedge you create insurance.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry85606888
Look at this guy he/she has got 1000x units of old S7 to sell, probably in the mids of upgrading to L3+ too,
do you think this whale would use gigawatt? if they invest 1000x L3+ from gigawatt that is RM1.4mil, you cant even remote in to check/tune your rig.

You all think its me, and I cant blame you actually, as I do seem like the biggest suspect.
But only a admin can clear my name, they dont need to say who reported it, just say its not me.
I doubt someone like goldfries would have time to meddle around petty politics, hopeful but inconsequential, I know who I am.

Peace y'all
