Ok, I just realised this transaction regarding the purchase of Polybius ICO from last week.

I purchased USD100 worth of PLBT.

But there are extra charges on my CC. Please refer to the pic below.



I called the Maybank Card Centre. They said that the Polybius transaction was a cash withdrawal type of transaction.

So, a fee of 5% applies. On top of that fee, a GST of 6% also applies to that fee.

And it's not over yet. They will calculate interest, on a daily basis, of 18% per annum for the USD100 transaction.

To stop the interest calculation, I have to settle the whole outstanding amount of my CC (instead of just the USD100), and HAVE TO CALL them to inform that I have settled the whole amount and to stop the interest calculation.

Wow. I did not realise all these things before.

I was thinking that I have until the end of my bill cycle to settle the payment.

But now I need to settle it asap so that I can save a little bit of interest.

Damn.


P/S: For my Genesis mining contract, there is no problem. It is a straight forward normal CC transaction. Need to be careful on ICOs now.

Oops, i have exactly the same issue like you, called MBB they told me polybius consider cash advance, but didnt tell me that the interest accrue daily if didnt settle.

I wish I can give you a definitive answer but I can't.
It all depends on the mining difficulty of litecoin, the market prices of bitcoin and litecoin, and the mining pool luck and efficiency.
Realistically give it about 9 months.
I am setting mine at 10 months.
