Download the OTA zip (google), put on root storage. Install via stock recovery.

Received the final update... This is the first Android phone that I didn't have the need to root. Have been fuss free for the last 3 years and still is except for the degrading battery

Just get the battery replaced and the phone is would be as good as new. TBH, you wont notice much difference in speed of the phone on daily usage compared to the newer models. OP3 specs are still adequate for today's usage.

Ya fully agree with that. That's the reason I don't have any urge to change to newer models.

The problem is getting the battery replacement. Most replacement batteries are old stocks.

I think its rather important to see if you could get an original battery for replacement. Phone also old phone, same goes for the batteries. laugh.gif

You could try installing the new rom again. choose the 1st menu option and look for the update zip file, i can't remember the location, maybe in the root of data or in an 'update' folder.

Try to wipe cache first, if not wipe both data and cache. You will lose all your data though.

Replaced a 3t battery a week ago with this one https://shopee.com.my/product/14255596/752767347

The battery is a couple of mm narrower than the stock battery. After one week, the capacity reported by Accubattery is around 3,100mAh. Will have to see how it performs long term.
