Are pets allowed in condominiums?
Recently my upstairs neighbour has a dog which really cause nuisance to us as it's been scratching day and night.
We wanted to be considerate and let them continue having the dog around IF they have a solutions to the scratching.
But it seems like they are not doing anything.
Please advice.

We have talked to them a few times already... They don't seem to do anything about it and left me no choice.
Of course I don't want to complain if there's a solution by them after talking.
It's really annoying when the dog scratch EARLY in the morning and LATE at night.

Try to talk to owner by just pressing the Door Bell button, everything complain will not solve the issue. Dog have to abandon then you gaining enemy. Although not 100% can became a friend but at least not gaining enemy.

Cats are also considered pets.
But I believe that your neighbour would not mind if they don't cause nuisance such as keeping the cleanliness, not making too much noise like meowing & scratching that's disturbing.

How about a cat? i always wanted a cat -- in far future we might move into an apartment.

talk nicely if they cant control the pet, make complaint to apartment management

I have already talked nicely and even giving them more than enough time to think of a solution. But seems like they are are not doing anything.
My patience do have a level.
This matter has been ongoing for almost 2 months n I think there's more than enough time given.
2 months of not having peaceful sleeping here and I think we have already been very very patient.
And not to say, I have talked to the owner upstairs for at least 5 times or more than that.
Am I still not being nice enough here?
Thanks for your suggestion as I have sent a complaint letter to the management office and they have let the local authority know about this matter.
Hopefully they will come and get the dog away.

It's ridiculous... The mpsj ppl came can catch the dog on and within half an hour, the dog is back in the house. Then wats the point of complaining to the local authority when the owner can just get the dog back in no time. obviously money bribing comes in between this matter.

that's the good action by doing the steps that follow the law..

let the management office and local authority do the next action..

give them some time to solve this issue..

let's say in 2 weeks still got no action.. you may escalate and follow up with both management office and local authority..

be ready with written chronology stating date and action taken for their references..

and don't talk to that neighbor in this time frame.. scared they might keep grudge against you.. we never knew people these days..

Pets not allowed as per the Strata Act in Malaysia. You can file a complain if you think it's annoying.

I oredi filed complaints many times to the management office. They then complaint to the local authority n finally MPSJ came n took the dog. But in within an hour, we heard that the dog is back. Seems like money does the trick here.
Complaint to the management office again. But so far no reply from them n it has been a week oredi.
And now, seems that the ppl upstairs is trying to get back at us by walking really loud as though they r stamping on the floor whenever they walk.. And they don't really care if the dog is running n scratching around the house anymore.
We don't really know what else to do anymore.
