PETALING JAYA: Parts of the Putrajaya IOI City Mall were in darkness after a fuse blew in the substation supplying power to the building.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) confirmed the incident, which happened about noon on Monday.

"Repair works are underway and it is estimated that it will take two to three hours for power to return," said the spokesman.

IOI Mall Putrajaya head of advertising and promotions Joyce Chew said that over 200 retail outlets were initially affected by the power outage.

"Our technical crew is inside the power room and they are working on fixing the problem.

"Only the power supply to outlets was affected. Common areas like the centre court still have power," she said.

She added that at about 2pm, about 35 outlets were still without power.
