Every time i take pictures.. i have yet to get blue sky? How to do it?

U need to wait for a day with clear blue sky. In m'sia, its hard but not impossible to happen.

if u wanna show d sky, it's ok if the building's under. try using a cpl too

Basically you need to be at the right place and at the right time. And the right weather conditions too.

Is this consider blue sky?

set EV to -2 you will see the blue sky.

Hmmm, get yourself a circular polarizer, or for some added effect, a graduated blue filter. but still the main catch is make sure that the sky is blue lo, it was very clear a few days back, now its not, i think you have to wait for another 1 or 2 weeks only u can see a blue sky again

for the blue sky only perhaps..

actually penang can get blue sky easily compare to other state like KL... usually it will be at noon or morning. probably it is because we r living in the island

IMO, i'll consider the sky is blue when it has sun ( hot sun )...not when the sky is turning dark at 7, 8pm...or early morning.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with most of the replies above. You must have clear skies in the beginning. Using a polarising filter will only make a blue sky bluer but can never turn an overcast or foggy sky blue.



Taking a photo with the sun shining at your direction will be guaranteed to ruin that clear sky shot:




You can cheat at this if you're good at Photoshop though...

actually has more blue sky pic in Malaysia..but lazy to upload...so this is just 2 exampels that i can get from my online album..and it is quite outdated

Still can get blue sky, even when dusk is approaching. This picture taken around 7-15pm - 7.20 pm.

try to use CPL filter to get the sky become blue
but sometimes will make the pic become so fake oso

London sky very nice too . Happen at the Right Time right Place. 11.xx am , Buckingham Palace.

your sensor getting very dirty

Llike the earlier posts, don't think CPL filter can make a non-blue sky turn blue. It makes an already blue sky ...blue-er. Pardon my bad english!

Okay, my blue skies =D
The sky was blue enough, but i added a CPL(circular polarizer) to enhance the color saturation.

I juz notice it after 8.30am.. penang don't have any more blue sky..

I previouslt also wonder the blue sky in Malaysia, but now I have the answer for u...

As in Malaysia, we seldom can get blue sky... need to wait the correct time and weather.

While i am at US during autumm, i can get blue blue sky anytime any where....

ps: any camera will do without filter!

From a PHOTOGRAPHY point-of-view there are 2 ways : Getting a perfect metering on a clear BLUE sky or use a filter to squeeze things out. Even so, you don't have to get the sky blue all the time becoz BLUE is not the only colour of the sky. Nothing is wrong if you dun get it blue ...
