There is a bmw owners thread in car club section, why not ask the owners there?

If budget permits, get the M Sport package.

quill is having a pre reg promo for new 2017 sportline 330e, about 215k. But for me, i would always pay extra to get the M-sport. I wouldnt buy a non-Msport BMW

Hey guys, just came back from the showroom in glenmarie and they are offering about 228k together with insurance for the 2018 BMW 330e M Sport

My dilemma is that the new facelift is coming out soon but we don’t know when but this deal seems to be good.

Should I get it? Major dilemma

My advice - Imagine you are using iphone 8 and don't mind the mainstream crowd on iphone XS already because you value the phone itself even if it's previous gen look, then go for it.

And the price is good deal imo. The new one is next generation. Not a facelift so the look (especially the fugly current interior) will be much different despite malaysia units tends to get many techs stripped out.

just wait for the new gen la

if i were you i would have a buyer's remorse knowing had i waited a little longer i would've gotten much better package on the new G20

do not get buyer's remorse. you are willing to spend over 200k on a car, might as well go for the better choice

My friend got his 330e m sport back in nov last year 225k only. You should ask for more discount considering the fact that new model coming out soon.

Else, you can check out w205 C200 facelift due to launch in next month.

Based on my own experience, I had the choice of choosing between a C350e and 330e but I can't stand the shitty outdated interior of F30 so I went with C350e. No regrets biggrin.gif

Should wait for the new 3 series...

As for c class, I still cannot get over it’s small and almost useless middle screen . Wait to see if facelifted ones come with at least a larger size one

Well, the facelift will come with bigger screen definitely. I do agree that the interior is slightly small in the front but the rear space is about the same. You may say I’m biased but I have compared both model thoroughly before pulling the trigger.

C350e - panaromic roof, 360 camera, air suspension. 279hp 600nm
330e - sunroof, front/rear sensors, outdated interior. 252hp 420nm

The brand of Mercedes Benz > BMW.

Hence, I went ahead with c350e.

Just my opinion, wait for the new model first. Once new model launched, current 330e will be less than what they are offering you now. If u dying to get a new ride now, different story la. Hahahaha

Wait for the new model, or take the C350e if you must have a PHEV.

330e is not reliable. Not sure about C350e though.

Don’t buy. Wait for the new one. The price is not good enough. They sold it for that price a year ago, and the new model will be out in March 2019.

Which model will out on March 2019? 330e or the new 3 series? Yesterday just talked with the Merc salesman while looking at the new A class, they say government has currently stopped giving incentives for phev/hybrid hence Merc has temporarily stopped selling the merc phev until further notice. I am not sure about Bmw though..

New 3 series. Should be a 330i non Msport model to hit the market first at RM3xx,xxx. A guess is RM309k.

Hi I’m being offered 2017 demo unit (test drive) for 198k and new 2018 unit for 225k. Body only price without insurance.

Understand new generation could be released next year, but I guess everyone forget CKD will take a while while the first batch will not be giving me this price for similar spec. Can’t afford 300k for a 3 series M sport by then. Look at Merc brand new C200, it’s 259k.

Also hybrid new generation will be repressing petrol only version while hybrid most likely a few years later.

Anyway just getting opinion from sifu which offer will you take since there is 27k difference between demo and new?

End of July registered so 15 months in. Surprisingly 3.5k mileage only.

You mean you will choose this over a new one for this even short of 15 months warranty and β€œsomehow” used?

I see. Most of the video we saw on the net was the 330i. Most likely will have a lower variant which will be the 320i.

No point getting a brand new 330e

Yeah the reason being tempted is because of the amazing price given now. Of course one can argue thats due to G20 released soon but still G20 price will be placed way higher thats for sure, never believe if anyone say otherwise biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yeah I am really interested in the demo unit earlier (3.5k mileage after 1 year and 3 months registered?), thats really less even for demo, maybe not being used a lot. Went to another dealer , they have a test drive unit 2017 as well 10.4k mileage LOL rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

But the reason of contemplation was the warranty and free service for 5 years which I wont get it in full if I get the demo one. Will follow the registration date hence will only left with 3 years and 9 months. Decent still for sure, but one can argue if 15 months (warranty, free service, wear and tear) worth 27k (difference between the offered price).

What do you think hmm.gif hmm.gif

Let me share with you my experience bro since I was in similar situation as you.

I was in the market to buy a new car last year. Went to Hap Seng Star balakong, was offered 258k for C350e instead of the original price 294k.

It was a zero mileage pre registered for 6 months. Straight I placed booking.

Looking at your situation, I think you should visit more dealership Auto Bavaria, Wheelcorp, Quill etc. to check if theres any better deal. Who knows maybe you will be able to find a pre reg zero mileage car bro.

PHEV for Mercedes are no longer on sale. Parts will be expensive or at least relatively due to supply demand. Plus the charging port at the rear bumpers is not that seamless

Great technique. Went to the showroom earlier, told him I’ll compare price, promise he will fight for special approved price from superior. Let’s see what I get. Looking at I can actually buy extended warranty at the end of tenure, looks like it’s better if I get the demo unit rather than new.

Did drop by to a few other showroom but yeah this is the best I’m getting now. Topcoat bad I don’t have a good Friend as salesman, i Guess most of the best deal went to you guys haha πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Doesn’t matter bro. People who buy mercedes Benz know what they are getting into. We don’t go for bmw for free service like others. LMAO!

That of course...comfort vs sheer driving pleasure. Always a debate

well if you talk about driving pleasure, then theres the amg models but then again theres m models in the bmw range as well. Its a never ending debate but just bear in mind that Mercedes Benz is never only about comfort to begin with. Too many people associate benz with just comfort and not about driving pleasure whistling.gif

Did test drove both c350e and 330e. Too bad my wife complain about the bumpiness at the rear seat while i was enjoying driving the 330e. Besides comfort, Merc's recent exterior and interior looks much better in my opinion.

i got 2 close friends with 330e M sport. Sat behind as passenger on 2 road trips with them. Once to Melaka and another to Janda Baik. It was hell bro. Especially when they start speeding, I keep hopping up and down at the rear.

On the other hand, my C350e comes with airmatic suspension. It can be stiff and comfortable on demand. Either on sport plus or comfort mode, it offers flexible bro. You may think im bias but C350e is definitely a step up from 330e. Then again the price difference is about 40k between the 2 cars.

The c350e is indeed comfort in comfort mode. But usually i will switch to sports mode when speeding or tackling corners. More planted to the ground and won't skid.

Maybe it’s a different ride. Having driven a 3 series and now GLC, somehow it gives a floaty feeling and cornering needs a bit more attention. Again, glc is a suv and rides differently
