QUOTE(nFiniteFX @ Apr 1 2007, 03:46 PM) Hey guys, I got a problem to relate on the Vista. Got myself a Vista Ultimate recently it was all good, however, to my surprise, Vista wasn't able to read my previously burned DVD+r or CD-R discs and it either keep ejecting the disc out or nothing showing under the DVD drive itself. My DVD-RW drive is Pioneer DVR-110D for your information. Btw, the burned disc reads fine under Windows XP. Any thoughts? You can either update ur burner software to latest version. This can be found on ur Burner manufacturer website.edit: Just an update, I tried the burned media on my mate's laptop, whose running Vista too, works perfectly well. Hmm, does that mean my dvd-rom need a little tweakage? Or do you guys reckon NVIDIA PCI management thingy has got to do with this? My motherboard is ASUS A8N-SLI, nForce 4 chipset. Cheers. Edit2: Actually guys, I just reboot my PC and now it reads the discs fine. Weird but anyway, thanks for looking at my problem. |

agree. you have to check whether your pc support vista in term of driver and utilities.
It will be troublesome if you found out that the spec did not support vista once you already installed it. |

Agree. With several HDD for OS installation will be much safe rather than having same HDD with 2 OS together in it.
If not very carefully removed one might resulting all data erased or corrupt. |

Vista recommend 2GB for performance. Unless you are doing some normal office work which not really have time constraint, then it should be OK just to tolerate a bit abt it.
While if you are doing work which really have time limitation, try to upgrade to 2GB dual channel. |
