i just got my new laptop Lenovo Y400 28A preloaded with Vista Home Basic.

Problem found:
1. Unable to play DVD movie.
2. Can't detect my WIFI access point
3. A lot of program are not running well

For this, i already decided to get back to Windows XP.
but i search through MS web and found that there is no downgrade right for Vista Home. it's such a waste to have preloaded OS which is almost useless.

Anybody can tell me how to do?

doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif Home basic IS useless. You basically need Home Premium. Who in the right mind buys Home Basic?
and what do you mean from "there is no downgrade right for Vista Home". Either you grammar is wrong or my eyes is deceiving me

Thanks for your comment.
The home basic is "preloaded" with the Laptop as i mentioned. Not my choice.

"Downgrade rights are an end-user right and are documented in the product end-user license agreement (EULA) and refer to the ability of your customers to acquire the most recent version of Microsoft(R) software but continue to run a previous version until they are ready to upgrade."

You can refer to the following or find it from Microsoft.

Well, i'm not a english educated guy, maybe some of my grammer are wrong!
So beside checking on my grammer mistake, anybody else got experience can help on how to switch back to XP? i think i got no choice but to give up the vista license.
