Since last week, I have difficulties connecting to web whatsapp.

Keep saying my phone does not has an active internet connection when it is working fine. Running on unifi wifi and windows 10.

Seriously do not have any idea.
Anyone facing the same issue as me?

Yes. Both web browser and windows app. Just tried on another PC, same thing. Probably phone setting, in which I gave permission for all already.

Resetting phone straight and see how. Depend heavily on web whatsapp on work.

what phone are u using? have u updated the apps on ur phone? most probably caused by the Internet connection on ur phone (just my 2cents)

Mi Note. App always updated. Internet connection working perfectly on the phone.

Went through but still not really helpful.

Tried most of it except the battery control app use. I allowed that but isn't really working fine.

Don't know why this happen so suddenly

how about your wifi setting? does the "keep on wifi during sleep" setting is set to "Always"?

edit: check for any batter saver setting/app that is running, which will prevent the server communicate with your phone

yes miui is know to have this problem. But it has been fixed in new rom. Have you updated to latest rom?

have you also lock the app to make it always running in the background?

have you make sure wifi (if you depend on wifi) is always on even when in sleep mode?

WA Desktop detects phone doesn't have internet connection (which clearly wasn't the case)...
I need to launch WA on phone... then it'll connect.. (and usually last for about 1/2 hour before disconnecting again :/)

Ok. Found the solution which is patient. All I need to do is wait not more than 1 minute, then it will be connected.

Yeah. MIUI problem. I know the technique.

1) Clear cache/memory in your phone
2) Quit whatsapp in your phone
3) Open your web whatsapp (Web / PC)
4) Open your whatsapp app in your phone
5) In your phone, go to option "WhatsApp Web"
6) In the status, so long the status is "Active", then you need to wait. Don't do anything else, let it load

IF the status changed to Last active to certain time, then repeat the steps above.

Same issue here. In the end can login but it will take abit of time.

Noticed that it is easier to connect to whatsapp web if my phone is using mobile data. If on wifi, it will be slightly harder. Sometimes longtime and sometimes fast.

Weird because last few months no issue like this for me. Only the past month or so become obvious.

Joshua_0718 since you mention that you're on MIUI, did you enable "Autostart" in the security settings?

1. Open Security app
2. Go to Permissions
3. Go to Autostart
4. Add Whatsapp into the list of Apps that can autostart

Sometimes, the Autostart doesn't work correctly, especially if you're on older MIUI, because you mention you're still on 8.2.1.0 whereas all Xiaomi phones has already received MIUI 8.5 (except for very old Xiaomi phones)
If Whatsapp is already listed inside the apps that can autostart but the issue remains, do like below

1. Remove WhatsApp from the list of apps that can autostart
2. Reboot your phone
3. Add WhatsApp into the list of apps that can autostart again
4. Reboot your phone 1 more time

Noticed there is a lot of improvement in connecting now. Not an issue already

You're using Mi Note Pro is it?
Because I see Mi Note Pro is on MIUI 8.2.1.0
Whereas the normal Mi Note is only on MIUI 8.1.4.0
