Have you tried any odour eliminator product?

Look for those natural ones that can be sprayed around the cages and not harm the animal...

I know PureAyre is the best, but we don't have it here sad.gif

Heard of the Delikate small animal odour and stain eliminator is also 100% natural and is available here, but haven't tried yet...

Hmmm, since we're in this odour thingy topic, anyone here has used an odour eliminator for pets that you find works the best???

Yeah, HLP is due to lack of calcium. Suggies bones are really fragile, lack of calcium can cause HLP. The sad thing is we can never notice it until they start limping which is a sign of an advance HLP stage which can already lead to death.

UTI is due to lack of some supplements.

Aiyoh, Hun, I don't think I can bake the crickets lah... You wanna sell me baked crispy crickets??? brows.gif

I think I'm gonna try the delikate one. Then see if it really works... Susah lah to get good product here, haishh...

Yeah, that's the bald spot. But this pix was taken a few weeks ago, now really2 bald already...

I dunno lah, everyday I see a few leaves at the bottom of the cage. Sometimes he'll even pick 'em up and chew, chew again... I just hope he doesn't swallow any of the bits... Habis the leaves rosak already. We want to make his place look nice and natural, he go destroy it... If only can get a real tree, kan better...

Haha, would love to, but wouldn't want to make my Iggy as test suggie tongue.gif

Not all live trees can used, especially if any sort of chemical is used...

So far the ones I can remember that is safe are eucalytus tree and apple tree.

I presume that when I took him, he was 6 months because the bald spot was not visible. And it started showing like after 2-3 weeks later, where they say gliders mature at 7 months onwards.

Now Iggy would be around 8 - 8 and half months old.

Err, that I dunno, cuz the prev owner did say they're around 1 yr plus... If they have been keeping them for a yr or so, don't you think that they are 1 yr plus??

Could be that Frodo doesn't musk a lot, that's why he doesn't really develop his bald spot. Bald spots happened when they musk a lot. The liquid emitting from the forehead dries up and can shed the fur around that area.

Remember gliders can live up to many-many years, do you really expect a year or two is considered old for a glider?? I would think 6 years onwards would qualify as old...

He was being so mean... Then he said Iggy can stay if I change the bedding I'm using - The Woody Pet... Sighhh, I'm sooo mad! vmad.gif

Tomorrow jugak gonna look for a different one.

Hun, the Careline you mentioned at PS, izit the same area with all the other bedding? Didn't see it last time when I went to look for the gerbils bedding...

Wahahaha, Hun, Kiah such a darling wub.gif Nice pixs and caption leh smile.gif She really likes to be massage eih?

Ehh, CFP, so your chika is a male ker?? Arghh, ni yang scared ni... Sellers who don't know the actual gender, simply put only...

Hamster9, why lah the glider is rejected?? So cute one wub.gif

Masterackn, yeah, pls don't jump into getting a glider because it's cute, the commitment and patience is really important. Having a glider is like having a baby, have to really take care and maintain all its need.

This morning, Iggy barked at around 5am, my husband woke up first and nudged me, "ehh, Iggy ley"... Then I woke up and went to see him, pet him a bit, offer his treat, then went back to bed... See, just like having a baby tongue.gif

Suggies are intelligent creatures, they can sense a lot of things too.

Hamster9, so sad la the story... Why izit that size also matters one now? Simple want a small-small glider pulak... If too small and under age also not good what sad.gif They will grow in time what, so if they become adult, don wan anymore??? When the tail putus, was she okay?? I really hope she didn't suffer sad.gif

Anyway, I know she is in good hands now smile.gif Err, she is yours now right?

The vet (dr, yeoh), knows how to treat gliders??

Aiyohh, but different glider, different one... Not all will turn out to be confused and think he/she is human... People are just weird... They should read more on suggies before wanting one mad.gif We must never expect them to be like or do what we want...

Anyway, give short tail my warmest suggie love wub.gif

Ohh, really hope dr yeoh can treat suggies soon smile.gif

Alamak, Kiah got a cage already blink.gif Will probably take her a while to get use to it, anyway you can always tell what smile.gif Hope she'll be okay tonight smile.gif

I bought Iggy the small rattan ball, first day only he was curious, now it's just sitting at the bottom of the cage doh.gif

Also I bought Delikate Zero Odour for small animals. It says that it is 100% natural ingredient. It seems to get rid of the smell a bit, but the initial smell when you spray it, is a bit unpleasent lah, smell like ubat, then a few minutes later baru dissappear. But it kindda works la... A bit...

Found the Careline, but since my husband was not with me, didn't buy it yet, cuz when I smell, still got some wood, wood smell, have to let him smell first... Hmm, how about corn cobs? Do they work??

Kiah survived her 1st night in a cage laugh.gif

Atleast she still gets to roam free quite often than Iggy tongue.gif

This morning, somehow when he pooped, he accidently grabbed one with his foot, the he went climbing all over the notice board smearing his poop and then jumped to me and smeared some onto my shirt too mad.gif Aiyohh, have to work with poop smeared shirt today... And had to clean the board too sweat.gif

Hun, can we see the difference in a male or female joey? Male joey can already see their jewel or not?? Haihh, how the seller like that...

Well, don't think it has anything to do with you then. He should know lah that the one he has is a male. Then why he give male to people who wants female??

Anyway, he should know male or female since he's selling them according to gender summore...

A bit wild and crabby, how ley to check the gender properly sweat.gif

Congrats! rclxms.gif

By giving birth, do you mean OOP (out of pouch)?

Cuz suggies give birth to a small joey as big as a bean and they will stay in the pouch for about 6-8 weeks, then they OOP.

They can only take solid food after they are fully weaned from the mother, until then they still get milk from mommies pouch. I'm not sure whether can give the mix or not right after they OOP... That have to ask Hun smile.gif

Haihh, then have to double check the sex properly everytime getting a suggie, esp joeys.

Suddenly I also recall that last time the person I got Iggy from, said that Iggy is a female, then when I said, too bad, I want a male, then he said, ehh how to know male or female doh.gif After much explaining, he said he thinks Iggy is male. When I went to get Iggy, can see sooooo clear his jewel cuz he's already adult what sweat.gif Dunno how he could have missed it...
