wanna ask for opinion....
i have a tamed female which is 1 years old, and laterly i have a baby bout 3 month old male. is it ok for me to mix them in a cage?
(it seems that they are ok with it., but sometimes the male is so aggresive until my female scare him. she rather didn't want to sleep in the coconut when the male is angry.) haha...

Finally got my female glider today. But she's really crabby and she seems like she's prepared to attack me. I know we're not supposed to show fear but I'm still a little afraid of being bitten (after having lots of experiences with my hamsters).

When I got Felix, he didn't crab so much and was less aggressive. I've read about people saying give the glider time to get used to you.. but she even tried attacking me when I place food into the cage.

So I was wondering, do you guys have any other hints to tame her down?

Get the glider familiar with U.Once he familiar with u and ur smell.I think she will less crabbing.Put your smelly cloth in the cage and make sure u always play with her.For your info my joey also bite me but its not pain at all.Sometimes the glider will nip our finger to know its a food or not.Sigh i forgot to closed the cage last nite.he wake me up.And now dun want go inside the cage

I'm currently stroking her pouch and cuddling it so that she gets used to my scent. But she's very reluctant to get out of her pouch and I can't clean her poo in the pouch.

yeah and the babysitter will get a shock in her lifetime like aunty suiteng when chiwek suddenly go in her bra and sleep...

anyway that's how kiah and chiwek tame and bond so fast....

the 3 months old baby is the female's baby or u bought from somewhere?

You see, the young male thinks that the 1 year old female is the mother that is why trying to cling on her like how when they were young.

If this baby male is her baby, in-breeding may happen which is hight not recommended. And later on if u decide to separate them after bonding, it will be very stressful for them

Yes, serious.... that's the fastest way to bond but for guys I dunno lah LOL....

Well, the best is getting some suitable dried branches.... certain fruits trees like ciku or rambutan is not good for them.... Erm... natural plants not really advisable since we still dunno which is non-toxic to gliders. For now, best is fake plants and ExoTerra Vines.

Well, for now just let her be. She is very scared.... so just do more cuddling and talking to it.

Bra bonding seriously works.... if you do not want to do that, just place the glider in a pouch but it has to be under your shirt. That will give maximum scent and warmth hahahah....

I first placed Kiah in a small pouch inside my shirt.... slowly, I let her know that the inside of my shirt is secure, then dunno lah, somehow she naturally went and sleep in the bra... from that day onwards already in there hahhaah... erm, now she hangs there than sleep there..... hahahah.... yah, it sounds weird.... when I told hamster9 that time, she was like "HUH?" but she also did it for Chiwek hahahah.

I went during the morning since I had something urgent to do in the evening. He didn't say much though, just showed me the female's part and then we did the exchange. Said that it was his mistake for not checking properly.

Haha. She has managed to calm down a lot now. Still is crabby as ever but she allows me to stroke her. Now I'm placing her inside her own bonding pouch and inside my oversized-tee.

Currently I'm debating whether to bring her out for the picnic tomorrow but she still hasn't bond to me yet. She's a lot more active than Felix. Once she gets out of the pouch, it's bye bye.

But if I leave her alone at home I'm worried she'll get lonely. I think crabbing at me makes her feel happier.

just now go to KLIA, bring chika and aiko . chika woke up halfway and wanted to go out. so i let him out la . run around the car , jumping on ppl head , then stay put near the air-con vent . hahaha it's cooler i guess . then call aiko to come out.

aiko respond then chika jump to aiko pouch trying to open the zipper. after a while , he gave up , go back inside the pouch and sleep . hahaha i love them !!
