Hooray! Finally, an improvement.
Dipped my finger in some of Hun's glider mix and Shurie licked it off my finger. Although she's still pretty reluctant to come out of the pouch, but at least it's an improvement from the crabby and reserved Shurie I knew. |

Poor joey.. may it RIP.
Btw, I've tried feeding Shurie some mealworms just now and she doesn't seem interested in it at all. She just turned her head away at the sight of it. Should I continue trying to feed her the worms? |

Hun, I've tried the pulling-off-head method you've taught me and still Shurie doesn't seem interested in the worm at all. She kept looking the other way whenever I show her the headless worm.

I've tried. She really seemed like she has a grudge against them or something. She kept turning away whenever I place the worm in front of her.

I think getting a female first is better. The female glider doesn't smell and is likely to crab less, so they are a little easier to handle. Then again, it's up to your personal preferance if you want a male or female glider first.

Get a female first then only a male. If you get a male first, he might rape the female later on.

Ahhh. Love my Shurie so much. She likes climbing onto my shoulders and just stay put there while her eyes dart around my room.
Btw Hun, how do you play with Kiah? I don't really know how to play with Shurie when she's awake. |

Mine doesn't like chicken at all. Haha. She'll spit it out everytime I feed her the mix. She's one picky glider.

I don't think it's possible to do postage for the mix, but you could try asking Hun and maybe the both of you can work something out.

Shurie has a weird sleeping habit. She's awake during most of the day and sleeps at night. Is this even healthy for her?

Hmm.. I think it's been like that recently, ever since she stopped crabbing and started trusting me. Whenever I check on her, she's usually awake. And also she'll crab some of the times to be let out of the pouch.

I gave Shurie some watermelon last night and today, her poo was red in colour. Is it because of the watermelon or there's something wrong with her?

Should have tested her with papaya first.
The watermelon made the poop looked blood-red. That really shocked me. |

Thanks! Hehe. Her tail wasn't this fluffy when I got her.
Two weeks later and this is the result of her tail. Perhaps it might have something to do with Hun's mix? |

QUOTE(coldfusionpower @ May 21 2007, 06:13 PM) where u get yours ? Shurie only allows me to hold her when she's half awake. Other times it's impossible to have a good hold onto her. btw, just now, met snowcandy and hun. snow's shurie tail really really fluffy la .. and she sleep nicely in her jacket pocket. take her out, sit quietly ... haih .. jelousnyerr !! Btw, Shurie was sleeping like this in my pocket before I met up with Hun, she almost fell out of the pocket if I had not place her back into it. ![]() |

Jon, please do some research first before you decide to feed something to your suggie. If you like, you could try Hun's mix. It's perfectly safe and most suggies love her mix. And please please please don't let them share the same cage, you wouldn't want your suggie to die of loneliness later on, would you?
