erm juz came back from another vet... haiz he said he does not wan to cut it away although the tissues are dead already. he said the part is very dry and it will eventually fall off. the reason he doesn't want to cut it off becoz he said my glider is still ok coz he still eat, urine n shit n also very active. he's afraid of giving smtg wrong to him and the medicine will affects it's health. so how now? listen to him or look for other vets?

Rust ka.. hmm.. I'll make another cage soon lah. Planning to get another sg for wasabi anyway, need 2 cages at first rite? ^^
Right now I'm seriously suspecting that Wasabi's dealer lied to me about wasabi's age. I got him on 29 may, and he said he was 3 and a half months. Right now he should be close to 5 months, but he;s still way too small and no bald patch whatsoever. Wasabi barked last night. So, so cute ^^ Added on July 7, 2007, 4:23 pmIs the trader billygoatz in garage sale a good place to buy sg? This post has been edited by sense_less143: Jul 7 2007, 04:23 PM |

Hmm, I think I also wanna visit Dr. Yeoh soon...
Hun, I think I gotta give Iggy & Luna a bath again lah, so smelly Vio, when the whole testicle and tube becomes dry it will come off like I've told you before. If there's no infection, then he'll be fine, just worried if there some infection, then he'll fall sick or something... I think do what CFP suggest, call Dr. Yeoh and ask. That day if I could not get hold of my vet friend, memang want to call Dr. Yeoh, but since she already explained to me, I didn't la... Let us know how it's going. CFP, got a slightly over age glider is OK, under age aje very worrying. But your case female jadi male, memang sucks ley... Sense_less, meaning you think your suggie under age lah, he could be then. As for now, don't rush into getting another glider too soon, I think now a lot of people are doing that and some doesn't seem right... Why? Because when people wanted to get a glider for a pet, they know that gliders need companion and needs a lot of time and attention, still they want a glider... So their best choice is to get 2... But having 2 gliders does not mean that you don't need to spend time with them, or they're fine together... You still need to interact with them, let them out for playtime with you, carry them around in the pouch with you because if you don't, you will not get that special bond of having a glider as pet... You're better off having a pet that doesn't offer this, like a hamster perhaps... Don't get me wrong, I'm not directing this to you, but just generally speaking. I'm worried that there'll be abandon cases by next year... So worried... KP |

I see many people abandoning gliders or reselling off coz say not tame lah or troublesome.... pity those gliders. Alot are just getting upon impulse.... well, we are responsible for the little critter for at least 15 years, so we must treat it with respect and lots of TLC.... really lah, I can't imagine reselling Jarrah and Kiah.... it's like giving away my own kids for adoption. If you guys don't mind sponsoring a bit, I don't mind asking my aunt if we can rent a room at her house which is currently empty.... but I cannot do such a thing alone lah. |

hie.. already got my sg.. lol.. so this is the first nite he wiv me.. never crabbin at me yet.. but he's makin the hissin sound.. i left him i the cage n covered it wiv my old blanket; but i open some space laa for air circulation.. then just now he hissed.. whats the sign? i read the info from kp from page 20..
* This sounds very much like the one above but in slightly longer intervals, and has some slight differences in the pitches. this could be a sound of annoyance, basically they don't like something, * This one has very long stretches.. I have heard this when one wants the other near to them.. they are long and drawn out.. You can actually hear the hissing going both on the inhale as well as the normal exhale.. Interpreted, this means "come here RIGHT NOW" at first he hissed slightly longer.. then after that i can hear he inhale n also exhale got the sound... what does it mean actually? btw here's the pic of him.. HIS NAME IS SMOKEY! ![]() This post has been edited by Reallizer: Jul 9 2007, 05:03 AM |

The hissing that joeys is normally a sign that it wants it's mom.... How old is the joey? At first you said your friend gave it to you coz got extra joey? Then you edit pulak.... wonder why.
If he hisses during defecating, it could be a sign of constipation.... if during pee, difficulty in urinating.... two signs that need extra attention if it happens. It is normal for joeys to crab once a while.... You also do not need to cover the cage.... |

Haih, didn't manage to bathe them over the weekend, had many errands to do and they followed me everywhere
Hun, I'm willing to help if wanna set up a suggie shelter. I have lotsa ideas and what to do for one. I'm worried about the suggies of what will happen next year Why don't people understand that keeping a suggie is a long term commitment? They ask a lot of s**t here and still get them on impulse or with lack of knowledge and such. If I know any of these people who get their suggies on impulse and later few months down the line don't take care of them or selling them off or letting them go, sure kena one... Suggies that keeps changing owner is not a happy suggie and they carry such a baggage that will be difficult for each new owner. --- Reallizer, you were not patient enough to get a suggie. I can only hope that you are patient enough to take care of him for 10 years minimum. --- Suggies needs are different from other pets. Everything needs to be taken into consideration especially the joeys age. A good breeder will only let their joey go after they're atleast 3 months old and no lesser. Please prepare yourself with the proper knowledge and research about suggies before getting one. From the right age, to the right food, to the right housing type, to even understanding the noises they make. With the power of research at your fingertip, you can type things as simple as "Sugar Glider Diet" or "Sugar Glider Sounds" and hit SEARCH. For the love of suggie, please... Peace! KP Yah, kinda mad to see people selling off gliders.... there is this forum, got 1 guy wanna sell of a 6 month old glider in a hurry, rm100 also can pulak.... then on some classifieds, can see people selling off adults or young adults... if they plus cage means sure someone is quiting hobby and wants to sell off. Pity the glider, 15 years in captivity.... keep changing homes and get bad diet... it's like 15 years of torture.... ai.. I just hope the people who have both on impulse did their research and have full commitment. I'm not shy to say I actually got Kiah on impulse.... but then research and research, I manage to bring up a lovely glider. Now with Jarrah, I feel like a mom with 2 kids.... 2 kids who bicker and wants equal attention hahahah. Many suppliers are selling gliders that are just 1 month Out Of Pouch.... why? Coz they look super small and tiny, it makes us melt and want to buy it more and more..... 3 months is the best age to separate from the mother, not any younger than that. Well. if glider shelter.... I'll discuss with my aunt and see.... if it works out, we can start collecting a small fund to get ready stuff like cages and accessories and a fridge. |

Yeah, the breeders and petshops only care for profit, that why they lie and such, but I wonder why the buyers also easily kena tipu one? Because didn't do research lar...
Selling off their suggies for RM100?? Goodness See, this why we are so concerned and trying to create awareness. I know 15 years is a long time, but that's maximum... Even if your suggie survives till 10 years in a good home is very good enough... I also cannot imagine giving up my suggies, my precious babies... Anything on the suggie shelter, just let me know. PMed you.... if you can make it to Kelana Jaya LRT this Wednesday then you can get the mix.... anyway, give more fruits.... don't just stick to banana and apples.... try visit those cut fruit stalls.... get honey dew, sun melon.... gliders love those. Papaya is great too. Banana is a bit high in phosphorus... I saw this customer, bought a joey and just bought whatever the staff there recommend, even the lousy food pellets.... so I intro myself and said I got better food.... hahah, they thought I'm some con, smiled and walked away.... man, they dunno what they are missing LOL.Selling off their suggies for RM100??
