Hi guys...

Are those slimming patch and detox patch considered cosmetics also? I tried to import some, but supplier told me might have problem with customs as their courier service told them the patch consists traditional medicinal powder, which is prohibited from sending via courier/air mail. The other issue is if our custom will require us to apply for special license for this.

Please advice...i want to get in for personal use.

Thanks so much!

im confuse... the delivery from overseas to malaysia will go under Pos Malaysia?

last time i order a thick book, it was deliver to my house not under pos malaysia. i forgot how the lady in US delivery it. maybe private courier? so i was wondering private courier do not go through pos malaysia? because the item was infront of my door without any letter asking me to take it at any pos malaysia. but i found out there is a hole under the box. maybe books no tax?

second item, was 3 dvd, this one i received the red card asking to collect at pos malaysia, it was at miri pos office. but then the person who incharge let me go, because the kastam people not back from lunch yet tongue.gif funny, he ask me run but make it like walking LOL!

HI,

is this the PO at town or at Piasau ?

I'm waiting for my 8 pcs of cd from Indonesia, now after going thru this thread I'm going to have a restless night sad.gif

Last time I always get stuff thru ebay (cheap one only, like cap,cd,dvd, guitar stuff) no problem,no tax,

suddenly one time I got 3 package not receive mad.gif ...

luckily i can get 2 of them refunded while the other one too cheap to claim biggrin.gif ..but still I loss on postage sad.gif ..

I'm getting phobia ordering online after that....

Start shopping online again recently after discovering LNY biggrin.gif

Guys,

Is there any proof or document showing item's value below RM 500 is non-taxable??

I ordered 3 bluray dvds from amazon and it's about RM 400+.

I remembered last year i ordered 1 bluray dvd less than RM 200 and the bloody customs tax me 40% + 10% service!

Since I read so many forumers here saying below RM 500 is not taxable, how do I "remind" the custom officers?

From my experience...

they just open it and check.

KDN also does the same.

If Kastam do seize the item..they're going to inform you ... i think.

hi guys

im trying to order these stuffs from US
anyone know how much will they tax me?
i did my research...
to play safe i added + 10% to the items
but i doubt it'l be dat cheap

i know computer parts are tax free
but i heard that water cooling parts are considered industrial grade already
so they do tax u for that
is this true?

Swiftech Apogee GT Universal Waterblock - 1/2" $47.99
Swiftech MCR-120 "Quiet Power" Series Radiator - Black $34.99
Swiftech MCB-120 "Radbox" Radiator/Fan Housing Rev. 2 - Black $17.99
Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Hi-Flo Reservoir $19.95
Total estimate = $120.92

If you are sending overseas. No worries bout tax.
Things you should worry about
- Good packaging - prevent damage
- Theft

To be safe, add 20%
There is no standard for water cooling parts yet. Unless you are able to convince the custom officer, it is indeed for computer ONLY.

- Yes dutiable
- Rate depend on material
- If you are bringing in 5 pcs of different design, you can put it as for own use only.
- There are many exemption around, some up to officers themselves to judge. So it depends.
