Does anyone can verify is Digi started using 1800 MHz with 15 MHz bandwidth in Seremban? Because I check using the iPhone menu and it give DL BW around 75 where usually it is around 50 only.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 17 2017, 09:07 PM) Which part of Seremban? I wonder if Rasah Kemayan has... However, the speed in RK is already decent enough all this while. I’m in Ampangan. Don’t know whether that place is upgraded or not. Maybe if you go back later can test. And usually during peak times previously in my area even 10 Mbps is hard to reach This post has been edited by khainiz94: Aug 17 2017, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(jack2001 @ Aug 26 2017, 07:19 AM) 20Mhz is possible, but that would mean Digi has to shut down their 2G network. Right now 5Mhz is allotted for 2G. I think Digi should move 900MHz band to 2G and use full 20 MHz for 1800 MHz. Sure it will trump Maxis immediately. But due to indoor coverage maybe they make a good choice implementing 900 MHz on 4G. |

QUOTE(jack2001 @ Aug 26 2017, 10:46 AM) Personally I prefer better indoor coverage than even faster network. I think 15Mhz is faster enough and if we need more capacity that is where 4G+ comes in. I think the end goal is to do three carrier aggregation (ie. Band 7 10Mhz + Band 3 15Mhz and Band 8 5Mhz). Digi should also make their network denser too. I feel their tower are a little too spread out and their speed between two locations 50m apart can have very big difference. Yeah that is quite true. The network speed will decrease a lot when you are getting further from the tower. But at least they are improving a lot rite now. The new bandwidth allocation improves the speed by a lot of margin. |

Lucky my place already upgraded. Maybe at least everyone should be patient. I have to bear with unstable internet and speed every single day for almost 2 months. Not just on weekends.
So if you have problems with the internet, give them some time. Once it is upgraded, you will be satisfied with the speed. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 2 2017, 10:39 PM) Finally popped in my Infinite SIM into my iPad as I have UniFi 50M in my sister's house. Digi really upgraded the infrastructure in Seremban, from around 40Mbps+ to 70+ now. Seems kinda liking what Digi have done to the Seremban city. Maybe next they should expand the 4G+ coverage. Now getting 30+ Mbps on my area.http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/2236767775 |

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Sep 27 2017, 11:18 AM) Received a sms this morning Hahaha. Don’t get your hopes up.Digi 3rd party content provider confirmation safeguards Some illegal idiots have got hold of my number and try to make 3 attempts to subscribe to this 3rd party content provider. I was pleasantly surprised by Digi to thwart the attempt. No money was deducted Bravo Digi!!! Hotlink / celcom bila nak ikut Digi to protect consumers? VoLTE and VoWiFi also not available. I always thought they use latest tech but this time they too slow to rollout new tech. But still Maxis 4G is way faster. |

QUOTE(sinisterair @ Sep 27 2017, 02:57 PM) So, after 3rd party can not curi our topup if we have VoLTE and Vo WiFi? In my words they will not invest in these kinds of tech whatsoever. If they did not want to install VoLTE and VoWiFi which is quite basic actually definitely they won’t install these third party TAC tech.I need to tell digi to pasang those things so my father in law topup will not be stolen... |

Hi I want to ask. I have been trying to port my prepaid number to Maxis and have failed 5 times already. They said request not successful. Call Digi said no problem. Got the SMS confirmation and reply Y but failed. Already gone to Maxis many times to resubmit request.

QUOTE(tympg @ Oct 5 2017, 02:04 PM) I don't remember the details of porting out from Digi, but I remember porting out from Maxis requires that you type YES, not Y. Just a wild guess here... It asks for Y or N.Nvm already call them. Their MNP system is faulty. Maybe will try to fix before tomorrow. All port in or out will be failed when send to Digi. I felt weird because I have been rejected many times already. So anyone want to port out or into Digi will be delayed or failed. They said you try resubmit again tomorrow. |

QUOTE(Anime in HD @ Oct 21 2017, 05:17 PM) If you can afford. Just go for it. They already use the 15MHz bandwidth for 1800 Band in certain area. For example in my area. But I have tested LTE in Shah Alam Uptown Section 24 recently for Digi and it is trash. It is really unusable. They still use the same 10 MHz bandwidth in the area. Got around 1 Mbps+ for LTE. Where Maxis is still flying in that area. Got 50 Mbps+.But, me will wait big 4 telco will have LTE Advance Pro first. Celcom already show that they will have 30% coverage population in 2020 for LTE Advance Pro. Maybe, that time they already come out with unlimited data plan. For my place, maybe will cover in 2022 or 2023. Take note. Maybe, big 4 telco will just focus to expand LTE Advance Pro in urban area. For those people at village. Don't hope too much. Bcz i think they just save their money to expand LTE Advance Pro in rural area. Cost is something. How many user at that place also will be something. So, 4G(90%), 4G+(50%), 4G Pro(30%). Digi is good with their plan. But, me hope they can upgrade network Band 7 to 20MHz download bandwidth. Heard they still use 10MHz for now. Celcom now have upgrade Band 3 10mhz download bandwidth to 15mhz. Maxis also same ke? Since, i don't know about maxis. Not use it at all. Hotlink prepaid cheap la. Maxis postpaid? Fuhh. Very expensive. Yet still have many customer. Quality > quantity Now I know why Maxis is fast. They use the 2600 MHz band combined with Redtone for their coverage reference where Digi use 1800 MHz band. Maxis use a higher band but smaller coverage but in terms of stability they can provide more bandwidth in a smaller area. Plus with their previous threshold of 98 dBm give them a more advantage by providing good coverage even in indoors. But they need to spend more money to install more towers compared to the other telcos. So maybe that is why it costs premium to use their service. |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Oct 23 2017, 01:13 PM) If bandwidth can't be increased, the only way to increase capacity is to have more towers. It is very costly to set up a tower. Yep. But Digi maybe won’t set up much tower because it is costly to set up a new one and expensive to maintain.I think so far only Maxis have the most tower. Maybe that is why they can provide more bandwidth to their customer. Do note that Maxis spends more money on network improvements compared to the other telcos. Maybe it is quite good for them to charge expensive because they use the money back for network upgrades. So higher returns = higher network upgrade investment. I rarely heard of network problems with Maxis except the higher priced packages that Malaysians keep complaining about. Even I use Hotlink as backup felt way more satisfied using Maxis for streaming compared to Digi in terms of loading any video. But the quota... you know what I mean. |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Oct 23 2017, 01:55 PM) Shah Alam Uptown Section 24 is very congested for digi hor. Right in the PKNS Uptown. The line is so bad that 4G is unusable.and there are 3 sites at section 24 and all of them are with 2600mhz... may i know where u located? 2600 MHz band pun slow? 🤔 This post has been edited by khainiz94: Oct 23 2017, 02:15 PM |
