Hi guys, someone might have asked this but I've been searching all over on the internet for the answer as I am really new to biking.

I recently bought a FZ150i and been travelling to work and stuff, but one thing I noticed is that reaching 110km/h my rpm is quite near to the red area and feeling the vibration and stuff so pretty scary lah.

So my topic here is that has any FZ riders here rode to outstation before (without mods or adding bar end and stuff, basically fully stocked)? What's the experience like? Do you guys travel on the highway or take the older and smaller roads?

Because I've been planning to go outstation but really have no idea what to prep.

Any sifu please advise! Many thanks!

Top speed 130kmh 140kmh if you r lucky. I have use one before, sold it to buy car. When you shift the gear to get max speed on straight highway, try to shift when rpm near red zone.

Dont take to much angle during cornering, not that stable for amatuer.

best part of riding bike for long distance is, u can make pit stop and no worries about parking lot, and costs. I always travel by old road. 3 hours plus 1 way trip from subang to perak.

Not only that, when i worked genting, i used genting sempah-sentul-kl old road. jln duta-tg malim highways, and old road till reach my hometown. pit stop every 2 hours. mind u, i choose night time when ascending from genting

I'm tall person and ride legenda. If fz that time i have, pit stop and old road.

choose a best time and not in rush. best is u can admire natural surrounding while u at it.

chain set is not 6 month old, 1st long journey, new EO . and when i back to genting, i change once again EO and travel old road, tg mlm-batang kali-genting.

Vibration is normal on a single cylinder bike. So, do take shorter interval to rest your back and limps.

It is normal right for a 150 cc bike to start maxing out at 100-110kmph? I'm quite curious to know as i plan to take a 150 - 200 cc bike (either v15 or ns200)

if u regularly will cruise on highway, get higher cc bike.

2nd hand ninja, or r25 also no problem

you'll get tired faster using fz on motorway

My use primarily is in the city. Those 2 bikes are out of my budget at the moment. Yeah, I’ve been having my second thoughts on buying FZ after reading a few personal experiences from FZ owners. Your experience is a good indicator for me to decide the best option. Thank you bro.

One of the reason I initially liked FZ was the fact that a lady biker from Malaysia did a solo tour in US with the FZ. But then, long tour is different with city ride as there are frequent start-stop.

don't think that's normal. My FZ is stock and 110km/h is usually at 8k RPM.
If balik kampung max I can reach 135km/h without hitting redline but the vibration and engine roar is unbearable

i've not owned FZ. However, many moon ago, I travelled frequently from KL to my hometown Kuala Kangsar, Perak.

Always check your coolant, engine oil, brake liquid.

What I've always brings is an extra spare tube. If your FZ is tubeless, than the tyre patch equipment. With pump of course.

Rain coat to keep you dry. Hope its helps.
