Alien is harder to avoid the Alien and you can't really kill it but flamethrower works great.

Prey enemies can be killed but harder to fight. also you need to figure out how to fight those harder enemies as they really give you the ??? feel. also lots of vibe from System Shock & Deus Ex (snacking part).

i don't know the story line of Prey since i'm only 5 hours into the game.

but i was like WTF after the 1st 30 minutes. the game starts like just another new day at work in a nice big corporate.

I would say Prey...

sometimes the Alien would do goofy things like tiba2 teleport behind you despite you see it in front of you

see the trailer then you will know. but if you want short summary then system shock 2 should be quite similar.

ayam choose to play games that ayam can pew pew pew rather than play with games that ayam need to run with onli camcorder in hand

but i clocked 35 hours with prey, didnt even get all endings

plus is not that hard to kill the aliens, frustrating, but not hard

i never had Alien teleport. you sure there was not 2 Aliens?

there are areas where you have 2 or even more Aliens at same time. run away from one the other waiting behind.

the frustrating part about Alien is sometimes you need to reload the checkpoint because the Alien just doesn't go away, it will run up the vent and drop down very soon so you can even crawl urself out of the area. And i only play on Normal, if you play harder, The Alien is more persistent and you can't stay at same spot for too long before it finds you.

no suspense if you get all the big guns, like RE4 compared to previous titles.

Like Silent Hill, give you pistol & wrench, you can still kill enemies, but games like Haunting Ground, Outlast & Amnesia some you can't even look at the enemies and have to act like Ostrich.

Anyway the best Horror Pew Pew i think is Evil Within, you get weapons, but still scary. Dead Space is great but not as scary coz they are just aliens.

i play Outlast 1, don't recall you need to run very fast, most time, they just stare you naked behind the bars with their big junks.

just installed Outlast 2, not sure when can start play. quite big size.

also Siberia 3 is out edi. 1 & 2 haven't even touch.

did you even bother crafting those noise maker & gadgets? i usually throw 1 near enemy so the alien go whack them and buy me some time. sometimes you need flamethrower.

sometimes got bug just reload checkpoint.

i still think Silent Hill 4 is one of the scarier ones. especially in ur apartment where you need to exorcise. the flying ghost is really scary coz silver bullet can only stun it. also that psycho stalker.

In Outlast 1, ayam always worried about the big guy chasing me though

Ahh, but in Outlast 2, there are more hiding spot, sometime when ayam in panic mode, ayam always overlooked the hiding spot

Aliens is more like hide and seek... Prey is almost like solving a story.

Siberia is more of a point & click, investigate & puzzle thing set in Siberia with lonely environment.

there will be areas you can fight the androids. there's some area that is alien free after you threw it into space.

i end up fedup already

i only had 1 or 2 encounters where alien doesn't move away from the area. just reload checkpoint.

Alien A.I is so advance even after so many years nobody knows how exactly Alien is programmed. can it see light? can it feel you with the tail? it doesn't has eyes but seems it can see you? can it see you hiding in dark areas? can it see you when you peek out? seems inconsistent and nobody has a full proof plan to counter Alien except flamethrower. also it can hear ur scanner beep but can it hear you reload ur gun, hacking, or welding, or open door/vent?

just going same area in and out and block my way......any slight sound will die even i hide in locker without scanner also die

you save game when alien is nearby, you asking for it. Its not wise move, lady and it kill you every time you load back.

that y i give up lol the alien stuck at the place and wont move to any place anymore....so i say like bug lol

while i think the game should have at least 2 check point, but most like they make it that way.

i can't remember but there are quite a few save points, forgot whether 1 save file or multiple.

there is only 1 area that i find lack of save points and you have to go pass Alien, if you mess up you have to do the whole stretch again, but i only remember 1 such area.

One is horror survival

Another is more into action / puzzle platformer

Its not about the check point location. There is only 1 save slot. Each time you saving you overwrite the file. That's is a problem if you do it when the alien is nearby and that's is the end of all.

if i recall correctly Alien location will reset after loading a save/checkpoint, so if you save with Alien next to you it won't be there (but near the area) the next time you load.

wouldn't that defeat its purpose of warning user before hand?

it warned user to becareful, once u manage to save the game you are safe. it's to add suspense to players because sometimes the save point is far away you want to be careful when save so you don't waste your efforts.

Alien will reset once you reload check point.

Alien isolation give u satisfaction during the gameplay and after u finish. but the end story is very upsetting. #tergantung i almost throw my keyboard like #wooooootttttttttt
