Sent to SC, suspected mobo since no power at all. Repair cost around 1k, but data all will lost. But need to check for confirmation, cost around rm30 but the body paint will gone n can see through after the check up coz they will open the phone with some kind of machine. Check up also will wipe all data coz will check through computer.

Main point, data will be gone. Dont think worth the repair since data will be gone..

You better buy a new phone for RM1000.

So sorry to hear that Bro. I feel you because I still have my S7E after 3.5 years which I suspect the battery is failing on me.

This is the first time I am hearing that Samsung SC telling a whole load of crap just to open the phone. I forgot to mention to you that you should visit the SC during Samsung Member's Day, which is the last Saturday of every month as the service charge would be waived.

Anyway, after hearing your feedback, I totally agree that it would be pointless to pursue the matter to salvage the S7E due to the ridiculous cost and lost data. You are better off buying a new phone. I sincerely hope you made at least some form of backup, either via microSD card or cloud backup.

Last nite no charges, just basic checkup. I didnt proceed with anything since everything cannot recover all the data. No backup, usually if buy new phone i transfer everything 1st then i sell the old one. Myb will try send it to local shop coz they said other shop can replace 1 chip if 1 chip only broken but if SC will replace whole mobo if only 1 chip broken also.

I see. There is still hope than to recover your data by sending it to the local shop. I hope the cost won't be too expensive for the chip replacement. Now I am starting to see Samsung SC in a different light just like car official service centre's where they charge you a bomb once you car is out of warranty 😅

I'm using this free theme with standard icons. You can search it on Galaxy Themes.

Nice. Thank you for the heads up.

I wonder what are the enhancements they implemented in the patch (if any) considering the file size is only 170+mb

I got mine already...
You manually "check for updates" see...

It's a security patch, so don't be too excited to see new stuff. whistling.gif

Yeah, I had to manually check for mine as well. It doesn't automatically pop-up like it usually does 😅

Sounds like you need to send to Samsung service centre and check...

Are you using the original Samsung charger to charge your phone (that is left overnight)? And, is the cable is perfectly good in condition?

Hi
I have just changed my Samsung S7e battery. The battery still goes down quickly, but when it reaches 1%, the phone still works fine like over 30-40 minute with screen on.

I think the battery indicator is inaccurate . Is there anyway to reset it?
