Oh, is it infamous issue? haha.
The line is intermittent as of now, sometimes just disappear after switch OFF and ON the screen again, still can bare with it.

Actually don't want to change phone unless it give up. But i won't change the display as this is pointless.
Not sure which way to go for next upgrade. Samsung? New Exynos seems not on par with SD chipset almost in all aspect. The only thing i love about Samsung is the screen, the rest of it such as Camera is just meh for me.

Huawei? Uncertain future with the Android, i don't think i will invest into it.

If you are not keen on sticking back with Samsung, you can try Poco phone or OnePlus 7 which are running on SD proc. The pricing is cheaper than Samsung's flagship. Otherwise, wait for 11.11 sales and try to snag a good deal for S10 or Note 10 series.

You must have left the screen on a tad too long while paused during your Youtube sessions.

I see your S7E still going strong. Have you replaced your original battery yet? I believe mine is due for a replacement as the drain is just too excessive.

I see. Changing the battery cost RM160 during Samsung Member's day with free labour.

What app do you use to check your battery health status?

I use AccuBattery. The more you charge, the more accurate of the calculation will be.

Another method is use ES Explorer check the root file. - source from reddit/xda iinm

Ever wonder how much did your battery degraded?

Try this.

Download es file explorer( or any file viewer that can read system file)

Go to root.

Sys — class —- power supply —- battery

Scroll down to the fg_fullcapnom & Fg_cycle

Open with es note viewer ( or any text viewer)

Fg_ fullcapnom - the number X 2 , Times 2(if you are android 7.0) . That Is your current battery capacity in mAh.

Fg_cycle - to see the charging cycle.

You are absolutely not wrong with your hesitancy to walk down the road with Huawei's uncertain future. At least and until they sort things out with the trade wars.

For flagship Samsung with SD Proc, you can consider HK set with dual sim that is sold by our local dealers here. Either S10+ or Note 10+ should satisfy your needs. Definitely a beast of a smart phone. No need to worry about updates and warranty is given by dealer.

Great biggrin.gif
Will they need to format your phone, or you can tell them you don't want it to be formatted?
Besides battery, what are the other checks they did to your phone and you notice the changes?

If I am not mistaken, replacing the battery doesn't require the phone to be formatted. But it is always a good and safe practice to make backups of your phone before entering the service centre. Usually after opening up the sealed phone, they would conduct an IP68 test to ensure of it's integrity.

they dont even ask for it to be formatted or not
i also dont do any back up
i guess change of battery does not need the phone to be formatted
they did health check of the phone but so far no other problem other than the battery
warranty is 3 months
