lucky u, at least still have alternative way of charging... phone just kissed the floor and screen went blank dy, everything else works fine, call / SMS, WiFi, fingerprint all still working but screen is black, probably screen panel and digitizer broken.
btw, anyone know whether S7 support MHL or how to output the display to second screen using HDMI with keyboard / mouse support as well? result from quick search telling that S7 does not support MHL.

No, S7 does not support MHL since it move to WiDi, Wireless Display.

The time has come.

Samsung downgrades Galaxy S7 update frequency for the second time in three months.

And here I am being wishful after reading that Samsung might release Android 9 for the S7 series since it's hardware is able to support it. Not sure if it'a a hoax or true.

You're most welcome. Should target the newer models in the case your S7E has a defective screen.

My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's headphone 3.5mm audio port is loose. I've tried connecting other 3.5mm audio cable, headphones and earphones, the port is very loose and easily come out.

What are the solutions available? I don't wanna change new phone cuz it's still working fine. The audio is fine, but the port is very loose. I don't wanna use Bluetooth audio either. I want only wired ones.

1) If I go Samsung Members Day, will they fix the headphone jack for me, like replace new 3.5mm audio port, or make it tighten like previous or something, for free?

2) Alternatively, what are the ways available for me to use microUSB port to work as audio for my existing 3.5mm headphones?
If I use microUSB to Type-C adapter, and then Type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter, then connect my headphone to the 3.5mm jack on the adapter, will that work?

Thanks.

1) The labour charges will be free but I doubt the replacement parts are unless your phone is still under SME warranty.

2) Your mentioned suggestions might work but it is also a concern with the layers of connection for the audio quality. No harm in giving it a try since the cost might be cheaper than option 1)

1) My phone is definitely out of warranty already. I'm also quite concern that bcuz after they dismantle the phone if I send to Samsung Member Days, the phone might have another new issue that was never happen before, although if the headphone jack problem is solved. I don't know is it a risk worth taking or not.

2) How is it a concern of layer of connection to the audio quality? Interference?

I have not been upgrading the firmware. My current firmware is 26 May 2018 under Oreo. The phone is fast. I wonder whether the latest firmware will slow down the phone or not? Can anyone who has the updated to the latest firmware share your experience. The only problem I have in this May 2018 firmware is the notification (whatsapp, sms, others) has a bit of delay when the phone is lock. Meaning, someone send a message, it does not notify immediately but delay like 10-30seconds.

Thanks in advance

I download firmware G935FXXS5ESF4 a few days ago but don't have the time to flash it as I want to perform a clean wipe and fresh installation. I will update once completed.

Ahhh the infamous pink vertical line. It's time to say goodbye and upgrade your S7E. Unless you want to change your display for RM900++

Oh, is it infamous issue? haha.
The line is intermittent as of now, sometimes just disappear after switch OFF and ON the screen again, still can bare with it.

Actually don't want to change phone unless it give up. But i won't change the display as this is pointless.
Not sure which way to go for next upgrade. Samsung? New Exynos seems not on par with SD chipset almost in all aspect. The only thing i love about Samsung is the screen, the rest of it such as Camera is just meh for me.

Huawei? Uncertain future with the Android, i don't think i will invest into it.
