Colleague said its around Narita area that is not much to visit except the temple, main Haneda he said definitely alot of stuff there.

I did explain to her. But she thinks that she wants to visit more other state. A lot of her fren and my fren as well took 2 weeks holiday and visit Osaka Kyoto and Tokyo. Knowing that schedule will definitely pack. But what I think is that she wants to experience everything like Bullet Train, having Bento in train. Scenary etc.

I kinda fine with 15 days Tokyo, cause I know that there is a lot of place that can go. ( Watch Japan Hour often and really there is a lot of nice place ).
*
ic, but do prepare to spend extra RM2k for two just to travel to osaka and bak to tokyo. well of coz there wont b much to do around airport area. anyway, mayb u should try check with ur airline how much extra will it be to change ur arrival to kansai (KIX) instead of Narita, tokyo. if its cheaper than the one way tickets to osaka from tokyo, then just change it.

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Oct 4 2017, 02:55 PM)
thank you chinti...actually is 5 days to cover all, 1 day will spend whole day at USJ
*
assuming u follow my super rush two days kyoto itinerary on the 1st page, then USJ 1 day, u r left with two days in osaka, so u wont hv time for kobe d.

Will do. I will give a call to Singapore Airline helpdesk tonight.
The reason is that, the return will be in Hanaeda Airport. So I'm just wondering whether we wan to spend the last few days in Tokyo and last day will go airport without rushing.

If we start from Tokyo. Until the last day, we have to flight ( or train ) back to Haneda and take flight back to Singapore. I worry we will be very tired and worry about the delay.
*
yea but usually no one hang around Haneda or Narita airport. people usually just take express train to shibuya, shinjuku, and so on. so nothing much around there doesnt really have anything to do with Tokyo lol. should really try pursue ur wife to just stay in tokyo tho due to ur air tickets.

Just saw this reply.

Will recommend that you Tokyo is towards the end of your trip. For you to rush back - it's very taxing and trust me - kills all the mood going home. Best to do it this way:

Land Tokyo > straight to Osaka > enjoy kansai > shinkansen back to Tokyo > enjoy Tokyo > fly to SG
*
sometimes i wonder y ur mind think the same as mine lol. bak from HK huh? its way hotter than malaysia...

another suggestion needed,

since im staying in osaka only, do you think is good idea to go kobe 1 day then back osaka then go kyoto and back to osaka again?

or rather spend overnight each of the places 1 day.
*
one day trip for kobe is enough, and stay in kyoto

QUOTE(ultra_nyamuk @ Oct 4 2017, 07:59 PM)
Hello.. first time going to japan. Bought cheap promo flight. So it will be in another 2 weeks.

Any suggestions for below?

Day 1 Haneda airport, arrive 10.50pm. (any tips for this timing? as i know transport to city might be issue late night)
Day 2-3 Tokyo areas
Day 4-5 Kyoto areas (thinking domestic flight about rm350 round trip NRT-KIX)
Day 6-7 Mt. Fuji (is one day trip enough?)
Day 8 Tokyo --> head back KL.

Do i need JRPass for above, else i will take domestic flight to n fro Osaka n rail to Kyoto.

How much money should i change per pax for expenses, eg food , train/metro etc ?
Plan to book airbnb mostly.
Is the plan too busy? Or should i cut out kyoto?

One more thing..whats worth to buy in japan?
Thinking camera/lens, Sony audio player, Watches.
Thanks in advance.
*
err...u only got 8 days right? kyoto is not somewhere u go to spend two days like tht if u r in tokyo, its different story unless u r in osaka so i highly recommend removing kyoto. better to just stay in tokyo and go other places nearer for one day trip like hakone, nikko, kamakura, and so on. for mt fuji make sure u check the weather b4 buying bus ticket, might not be able to see it if weather not tht nice, and ya its a one day trip.

i usually dun recommend JR pass as u will b using both JR and Metro, unless u r able to plan everything using only JR line. so its better to get a SUICA or PASMO and top up as you go.

are u going alone? if alone then backpackers hostel is cheaper, its comfy and clean so dun worry. as for expenses it depends on how u wanna enjoy, i do recommend prepare at least 100k yen for a week or so.

worth buying i guess used lens and camera, if its sony mirrorless its only in japanese tho but just check out used stuff, its super cheap. check out mapcamera in shinjuku for good and cheap used camera n lenses. watches used also very cheap and look exactly lik new

my trip to osaka is around 9 days. how many days should i spend to stay at kyoto, kobe and osaka? is 3 days at kyoto, 2 days at kobe an the rest at Osaka is ok? or should i stay at 1 place (osaka) and travel daily to kobe and kyoto?
*
u can stay 3 days kyoto, 1 day trip to kobe, another day trip to somewhere near such as nara or hiroshima perhaps? then the rest in osaka if u planning to go USJ, else can add another day trip to nearby places

just asking...80k yen for 1 week trip is that enough? expenses only without hotel or USJ.

budget wise is really hard to tell coz everyone hv diff spending limit. some of us here spend a ton on foods, others spend on shopping. but i always tell everyone to prepare 100k yen for a week, no harm preparing more

After a huge discussion with my wife yesterday night, we have decided the following.

1) Reach Narita Airport at 8am. Will take train to Osaka straight from Airport.
2) Mainly visit Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe. ( Not sure any other place )
3) Take train from Kyoto back to Tokyo.

Question now is. I have 15 days in Japan. Here is the rough day allocation.

4 days Osaka
2 days Kyoto
2 days Kobe
7 days Tokyo.

Not sure whether I can slot in one more place or not. For example Nagoya. Will 4 days in Osaka overkill?
*
make kyoto 3 days instead and kobe make it a one day trip. 2 days will b too rush for kyoto especially when ur wife wan to relax n enjoy the scenery. 4 days in osaka is ok coz u r going to USJ 1 day, meaning u left 3 days, else u can make another 1 day trip to maybe Nara? its nice to c deer walking around on the street

Yup, we will definitely go to Disney Sea cause it is the only Sea Theme in the whole world. But then I also have a question... Is it possible to have both Sea Dsiney and Disneyland finished in one day? Just curious
*
not possible, one day might not even finish all the rides in sea. if u been to other disneyland then u can just skip it and go to disney sea enough

Haha, the problem is.... I haven't been to any disneyland before ahaha.

I do not mind skipping disneyland cause I got plenty of chances to go, but for Disney SEA. Its a must for my situation
*
then mayb reduce osaka 1 day and tokyo become 7 days so 2 days for both disney sea and land

hi, is this park ticket include disneyland and disneysea?

http://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/ticket/
*
park ticket is for either disneyland or disneysea only. u need to buy individual ticket, so for example if u wan go both disneyland and disneysea it will be 7k+ yen x 2 = 14k+ yen

Here you go, I had to cut out our airbnb for safety sake and you can add in whatever you like.

This two weeks trip covers
Malaysia-Tokyo-Hakone (one night)- Kyoto- Koyasan- Osaka- Nara (day trip)- Osaka- Kobe (Day Trip)- Osaka -Malaysia

-We do not like doing round trips as it wastes precious time and money and base on my estimation, its better you go get your IC card rather than get the JR Line ticket which costs close to a flight ticket.

-Do not get the 3 day passes as you wont be spending 72myr in traveling in Tokyo base on my itinerary/

-Also note that in kyoto first day we are heading to a photo shoot and rental of Japanese tradional garments which will be worn during the tea ceremony and walking around kyoto. We plan to return the garments the next day

Credit to my girlfriend whos makes travel itineraries for travelers. Keatsan heres my itinerary you requested

I'm going on the 1st week of May.  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif . Your plan for the USS Japan is kinda similar with my plan in USS Singapore. But always we will get lost in USS sometimes, maybe Harry Potter section is quite big. So might need to take some time to search the correct activities. You may let me know which activities you think is interesting and which is not.

And yea, my wife doesn't want to ride roller-coasters, so i do not think there is issue on the roller-coaster queue.
*
u going during golden week? goodluk...the amount of tourist and locals can drown u during golden week...USJ is all about fun roller coaster tho unlike disney

There are some other stuff that my wife wanted to go beside roller coaster. Well if not, then we are pretty much can cover everything if she skips these scary roller coaster ride.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Hi im going to USJ on coming Monday. I read that the scenery nicer in the late afternoon together with the expecto patronum show. Do you think it is a good idea to run in when park open, take a timed ticket say around 2pm and do other rides first?

When i get into the Harry Potter place, i still need to queue for the ride right? Any tips? Haha
*
if u wan beat the queue for rides in the morning then just run in when park open, straight away take the rides. u still need to queue even if u hv fast pass, mayb just shorter queue
