With hardware cost costing a bomb now a days, I'd like to get some opinions on time frame of recovering back your ROI.

I've been hearing ideally (Best cast scenario) is 3 months but I have no idea how they do it. I crunched some numbers and feel the realistic point would be around the 8-11 months, depending on the coin you plan to mine.

Raven now seems the most profitable but damn it comes a lot of power..

3 months ROI? LOL, maybe during the peak of the BTC peak of 60k that time
those promising those period are either stealing electric or just plain marketing BS to sell their rig tongue.gif

realistically?  I would say averaging 10 months depending on your rig and what you mined

my current tiny rigs of RTX3060Ti (full time) + RX5700XT (part time) + 10Tb Chia farm + misc CPU banano farming gives me about 10 months ROI, now am half way there icon_rolleyes.gif

my next target will be adding a 2nd hand RISC once it has generated enough bullets tongue.gif

thanks for the realistic input. I was thinking to build a new rig 4 cards in total with 18-20k capital. Covering electric cost, I can achieve ROI by 10 months or earlier thats if the market doesnt crash.

Numbers makes sense but still a bit hesitant and would like to get more opinions from seasoned miners.

you should consult our master miner sifu here jett138 tongue.gif

what cards you're getting? the 6600XT ah?

that card seems to be king of efficiency right now for around RM2k a piece, easier to buy now, but hashrate around 26 only hmm.gif

why not consider investing in a risc rig? IMO it's more efficient that way

3070ti's actually but i know its risky if the profitable alt coins crash or no longer profitable. Still new to the mining scene, little too late to join the bandwagon i know, but since i also not much time to game nowadays so let it part time mine (3070ti).

RISC rig? Ape tu? ahahaha

3070ti? aren't all those are LHR?
you won't be able to mine efficiently with LHR cards

aiks, sorry, typo, ASIC, not RISC tongue.gif

To mine ETH yes, not efficient cause its limited. Im mining RVN now and compared to a friend who has a 3070-non LHR mining ETH, our profits are about the same after electricity cost.

ASIC hard to resell once its out-phased, GPU still got value on 2nd hand market. Sort of a failsafe if market crash, it still has value as a GPU.

2 months if you buy clearance asics and steal electricity.
3 months if you buy clearance gpu and steal electricity.

or you have excess electricity generated via solar or other means which gives you access to cheaper rate than energy supplier(TNB/ sarawak energy)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Realistic figure
about 9 and a half months on GPU, not inclusive riser, mobo, rig, psu, rams. if you added all up is all bout 10 or 11 months. say you buy deal price distri -> you
about a year say you buy distri -> dealer-> you

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And yes, to keep this balance sheet positive and possible. means you sell every token mined every month at 45,200 usd /btc.

other strategy you are exploring to hasten up the process of recouping the capital like selling at higher price, staking, trading, liquidity swapping etc will derail you from your 8/11 months roi plan.

3070ti makes about 5usd /month on rvn. 4usd +- on ergo <-- prices started to climb up to 4k +- / pcs
last i got some was at 3.3k. Thermal will be an issue if you have a room full of them, not all 3070ti has waterblock available.

6600xt i am skeptical on the figures as most of the posted figures i can get better tweaking or efficiency.

Thank you for the clarification notworthy.gif

So my number crunching was somewhat accurate if the market maintains as it is for the 8-11 months to achieve ROI.

I dont plan to get a lot of them as I know what the heat generation is on my current unit. Was thinking at most 4-6 units kept in a well ventilated hall.
