QUOTE(saffron @ Jun 27 2017, 04:52 PM) I am planning to build a 6 numbers of GTX1060 and would like to know if a 850W Gold rated PSU is adequate (I'm looking at Corsair RM850X) are you sure you want to jump into this ? The card price itself already increased and you cant find it anywhereMost probably undervolt the GPU so that it reaches ~100watt (6x100W=600W) plus mobo, SSD,etc (~100W). Total expected wattage is ~700 Watt for full rig. Also my profit down like 40% ... Good luck breaking even |

The card price itself already increased and you cant find it anywhere I roughly calculated to get back my initial investment is ~9 months, if the market keep going down and the projected return is increased to 12 months or even 15 months I am still okay with it because there's not much business nowadays that can give such a return in a short period. Furthermore, the GPUs can be easily sell off if crypto mining is found not to be profitable in the futureAlso my profit down like 40% ... Good luck breaking even I think that's the risk I need to take to earn some pocket money |

Interesting Finding
Compare Ether Price Chart VS AMD Stock Price
--- Compare Zcash Price Chart VS Nvidia Stock Price
Who behind the rise of all ALTCoin? No doubt 2 pic above show that, the recent mining craze has benefited the GPU maker the most especially AMD, with its RX4XX and RX5XX from Trash to Gold The Question to miner : 1) How long will the favorable ALTCoin (ETC,ETH,ZEC) maintain a good price position for mining? Surely not much people will be considering in buying a used mining gpu, but if the offer is too good to resist (few hundred lower than used market rate & potential buyer that has limited budget) I am sure it can be sold off. if i were to buy (i would not), i would certainly ask for bloody huge discount off retail price. Fingers crossed by the time the GPUs required to be sold off, the earning already cover the initial cost. I don't mind risking "losses" in the unpredictable future rather than making gains in the long term. |

Just a food for thought unless the card has correct cooling, that temperature literally can cook an egg everyday. http://www.legitreviews.com/silent-ethereu...0-22-mhs_195529 They basically undervolt the GPU from ~110 Watt, 70C to ~65 Watt, 58C, that is a remarkable reduction of 45 Watt per card with minimal hashrate losses. With that configuration, the temperature can barely cooked an egg |

FWIW I had 15 different 280x that mined for months 24/7, sold off all but 2 quite a while ago and not a single buyer had an issue.
Kept 2 for myself that are still being used in my desktops and no issues so I wouldn't worry so much! |

Nicehash profit drop is due to the Bitcoin segwit2x and bip148(usaf)...Alot of people are concerned that the blockchain would split into two (hard fork).. It will be downhill until August 1.
According to their developer they will disable automatic payment on that day too. |
