Wanna share my 1 month mining experience

Been mining Zcash with 3 x Zotac GTX 1080ti Amp Extreme and 1 x Asus GTX 1080 OC. Hash rate is about 2700 sols.

Payout perday is around 0.06 Zcash, so for one month I can get 1.8 Zcash. Return for my first month of mining is around USD 396/ RM1,700 (based on current Zcash price).

Cost of investment is around RM 15,000. Electricity cost is about RM450.

After deduct electricity cost, my profit is about RM 1,250 for the first month.

RM 1,250/RM 15,000 = 8.3%

I assume you are mining ETH? In that case the core speed is not helpful, as long as it's not too low (i.e. 1.4GHz-1.5GHz). nVidia Pascal GPU will auto overclock based on the power limit. No point dragging the slider to max when the power is already limited.

TS, shall we start a table to collect cards with mem chip data? So far, I have seen a growing pattern from observing GTX1060 cards selling around in the market. The following is my observation for ETH mining:
1) Mining card is the safest bet, regardless of the RAM manufacturer. It will allow 100% memory controller load. Of course the OC headroom is another story, but no matter what we are guaranteed at least 22 MH/s (~8.4gbps RAM) and higher if you got Samsung.

2) Retail gaming card with Hynix RAM is the worst. The memory controller is limited at 75%-80%. That gives us 15MH/s at stock clock! The OC headroom from my experience is around ~8.3-8.4gbps. That's 19-20MH/s after OC. WEAK.

3) Retail gaming card with Samsung RAM but limited memory controller load. This not only happens in 9gbps version but also 8gbps. The only consolation is the RAM OC headroom is higher. Stock 15MH/s. OCed ~21MH/s depends on luck. Still not as favourable as case (1) because of higher power consumption.

In conclusion, nVidia is forcing us to buy mining edition with shorter warranty. I would like to hear from fellow miners, their experience and luck with recent purchases.
