I plan to built 12 gpu rig, 6 nvidia 1060 + 6 amd.

Someone recommended Sapphire nitro rx 470 8gb, or RX 470 4gb mining edition. Can I get some opinion which rx card is better fit for my rig?
*
Better all Nvidia. AMD mining coins are limited.
Plus next update, ETH block rewards getting lesser.

Focus on ZEC, ZCL, ZEN and KMD.

Is it possible mining ethereum using cpu? Anyone know how?
*
Yes, u can. With speed from 0.02-1.5 Mh/s, why u even want to do it.?
Ur profit is negative... Plus gives excessive stress to CPU.
With money spend on potential CPU replacement and PAYING TNB, u better buy 1 ETH and hold till ETH is 500.

RX460? Only 11mh/s for ETH mining.
BTC use ASIC Miner such as Bitmain S9

Nice Scrypt miner, but u need a lot to pull in profit.

100 pcs then u can see profit.

5*100=500Mh/s, same like a L3+

Calculate the price per megahash.

50$ for 3-5Mh/s
Or about 12$/mhs

504*12=$6000. Expensive and also need to pre order. L3+ wins all, except in power usages.

Nicehash wins all the way, it gives you BTC which is the most valuable coin of all cryptocurrency. Just mine using nicehash and it optimizes your earnings by selecting the most profitable coin to mine for you.

Nicehash thumbsup.gif
*
can u do a similar comparison with Zpool.ca? It also paying in BTC.
must run at least 24 hours. 48 hours the best, to gauge.

Nicehash charging 4% fee...

Another question guys,

Using a rig that has between 180 to 190mh mining ether will produce approximately 1.2 to 1.3 ETH per month nett of electricity cost based on current difficulty.

Is that a fair assessment? Thanks.
*
What do you wanna know? Is that a question or statement?

In real world, the assumptions made will Always differ from paper calculations.

I repeat, do not focus on AMD based GPU, limited coins mine able.

What is the best car to buy.?

Not easy to answer, right?

Same with coin mining. What is your budget.? Will u use GPU or ASIC miner? Will u put ur miner at home or somewhere else?

There's lot to answer...

One of the gpu slots of my board is malfunction, leaving a gpu collecting dust. Anyway to solve this issue, other than sending the board back for RMA? I heard of some sort of hub or extension before for pcie but not familiar of it,thanks.

Your motherboard have PCI-E slots, right.?

Then use riser, will fix. Do check if your motherboard have on board display...

Gridseed doesn't run on it's on like the Ant Miners?

Nope, u need to connect to PC, and run Minerd software.
A bit leech. If PC shut down, u lose earning.

For Hynix card, if you are mining ETH, try reducing memory clock. i reduced mine to -150, and got 5% increase in MHs in all 6 cards in one of my rig. i also reduced the power to 65%, no impact on performance whatsoever.

This is, however, applies only to hynix card, i tried on my samsung card and got shitty performance.

I read on other forum, it got to do with hynix based memory timing (which i dont know what)
*
Thanks, nice findings. Will try this.

True, zec profitability is more consistent. But I switch from time to time depends on situation. Anyway, sigt also going to POS in roughly 10days, so this is last chance to collect more since I don't intend to buy it.
*
from my findings, SIGT is prone to PUMP and DUMP. I already avoid it. Plus the reward is now halved.
not worth my shining 1080ti to tear its sweat for a dodgy coin.
