which would be a better mining option ?

1. Selling mining power through nicehash
2. Mine individual coins (ZEC, XMR, ETH) from pools (e.g. nanopool)

Just started to mine 3 weeks ago.. using a single GTX 1080TI.. currently mining ZCASH, not mining 24 hours, because I do game with the PC...

manage to tune the card to mine at 630 Sol/s at 150W-160W.. temp stays below 70 Celsius.. using BitFinex to trade ZCASH to BTC , then transfer BTC to Coinhako.

Pending RM208 withdraw to Maybank from CoinHako after selling my BTC.
just purchased a 1070 for RM2k.. trying to do a 2 card mining ..see how much I can make..

1. u get cash which u can use to pay ur electric bill and ur hardware
2. u get coins which u HODL and if appreciate , u make extra money

imo, 2 if you are good at trading, research etc, hardware already ROI, 1 is the lazy option, just plug and play, wait for cash to roi

Wanna share my 1 month mining experience

Been mining Zcash with 3 x Zotac GTX 1080ti Amp Extreme and 1 x Asus GTX 1080 OC. Hash rate is about 2700 sols.

Payout perday is around 0.06 Zcash, so for one month I can get 1.8 Zcash. Return for my first month of mining is around USD 396/ RM1,700 (based on current Zcash price).

Cost of investment is around RM 15,000. Electricity cost is about RM450.

After deduct electricity cost, my profit is about RM 1,250 for the first month.

RM 1,250/RM 15,000 = 8.3%

I just compare my last month TNB bill and current month bill. Difference is about 610 kWh, the rate is 0.571/kWh. That gives me RM350 difference with last month bill. I top up another RM100 to be safe, therefore RM450.

It may not be accurate, but I think the cost is around there.

Very Nice bro, Can please also advise if my projected earning for your case in 12 Months is correct or not. Im planning to invest too but still doing the maths.

Months 1-3 RM1,250 = RM3,750
Months 4-6 RM1,100 = RM3,300
Months 7-9 RM950 = RM2,850
Months 10-12 RM800 = Rm2,400

Total = 12,300

Sell of Graphic Card after 1 year depreciation = Rm1500 x 4 = RM6000

Grand Total = 18,300

the projected earnings of yours are very pessimistic..lol

no one can predict the future, but you could be right.

the difficulty will increase over time and the payout might be less day by day.

but note that the price of Zcash might increase too. The price could be USD 250 or USD 300 in near future.

Also, resale value of GPU should be higher than that.

- Once per day for external-wallet unpaid balances, greater than 0.1 BTC.
- Once per week for external-wallet unpaid balances, greater than 0.01 BTC.
