Helo everybody, I just bought a new city facelift version V spec for less than 1 month. This is my first car ever and I'm so thrilled to be driving around with it.

However, I was just curious about the fuel consumption claim by the advestisement and words from friends and family wasn't as per my expectations. So just out of curiosity, I would like to ask any city owners out there to share their fuel consumption stats or you have any tips or hacks to save petrol here so we all could learn something new together. Ofcause I will start with mine.

1st 1000km, you will have terrible fuel consumption. This is quite normal coz the engine is "breaking in". Try driving a bit more and monitor your fuel consumption. 12.5km/l is quite ok for 100% city driving.

Haha my car ard break 1000 km the first week as I went to Penang. Now is around 4000 km dy and I drove up to genting once. I'm running sales so 1 day could easily drive up to 100km.

It's good to know that it's normal for my car's furl consumption.^^

But are you guys suggesting the fuel consumption wil improve better over time? ? I guess I was living under the false impression that city drive can achieve ard 15km/ liter easily.

Another thing I noticed is that Shell 95 petrol actually gives you better power compare to Petron 95. However I gain more mileage by using Petron 95 right now. It improves to 13km/ liter. Will try to use Petron for a few more times to see if this is the case.

My honda city E spec 2015 is always around 9-10km/l coz we always drive around town area. My town have alot of traffic lights, speed humps, cars, etc so the speed is always around 30-60km/hr and always need to brake. Rarely can reach 5th gear in my town. But once we go the highway, we can get around 15km/l

that is normal, mine also 12.5 to 13.5km/l

The advertisement on FC is made when the tester is driving or testing the car under extreme condition (off a/c, drive no more than 80km/h, drive in a non jam road and etc). That why it can get that FC. biggrin.gif

Regarding the Petrol, I think RON 97 BHP so far the best for my city (Got power and better mileage. Petronas RON97 is totally a no no for my car (no power compare to BHP 97). Currently trying BHP RON95 as they claim that they are using Euro 3 grade for RON95.

If you dont drive highway that often then no need compare with official figures.

Just google how manufacturer do mileage test and you will realize that even on highway, the official figure is very hard to obtain for most people. They did the test with 0 wind resistance.

Ever Consider taking ROn97 for new car?
You will feel the different in picking up....
It does to me, not sure others...

FC considered good enough already. Want more FC, get down the car and push from the back! rclxm9.gif
