now i'm a proud owner of a gt-8 biggrin.gif

i'm thinking of using the 4CM ('four cable method') connection. Read in one of the forums that u need 4 good cables, and most of them recommended planet waves' custom series cables with double-shielding.

another thing, I need a USB MIDI interface cable to transfer patches to my gt-8. They recommended m-audio cables. is there any other cables which can produce the same results?

Where can I get these stuff locally? And has anyone here ever use this type connection?

i do use the 4CM method to loop my rack to my gt8.

as for the USB midi cable, its diff from the regular instrument cable as it merely acts to pass data. u dont really have to go for such a high end one as speed transfer is not an issue. just get a regular usb midi cable from lowyat plaza around rm90 range. it gets the job done. i however never use it to transfer patches to my gt8 as i dont really see the point of doing so (plus, it isnt as user friendly as line6).

as expected, echo would surely give his side of the coin when it comes to gt-8 notworthy.gif

good to know that any regular usb midi cable will do. just came back from digital mall, i did shop-hopping but none of them have the cable. maybe u can guide me which shop in low yat sells the cable?
