u might want to use some wifi local speed test software

or download some wifi local speed test app to ur phone and ipad, then test the wifi connection to make sure if problem is the wifi or just the internet

how about use cable do speedtest? same result or no problem?

So you are saying when you are connected to the 5GHz Wifi, the speed is slower than the 2.4GHz wifi?

definitely something wrong with the router.
asus routers are a hit and miss affair.

Try using another router if possible.
If speed is okay, then check the settings on asus.

If switching adapters doesn't help, the fault lies in the router.

Hi keyo,

Can you try ping the router using command prompt "ping 192.168.1.1 /t" when connected to the 5GHz? Try monitor the time on the command prompt see got any abnormal ms.

And then try ping Google also and monitor the time.

You can try change the channel of the 5GHz and test again.

Wireless->General->Select 5GHz->change the channel at Control Channel.

Thank you
