Hi guys,

My car just got a tiny stone chip sad.gif

I know that we can buy diy touch up to fix it.

However, my problem is that I do not know how to smooth the area before touch up.

The chipped area is like "timbul" a bit. Do I need to smooth it before apply the diy? Or should i polish it?

The area is near the front hood.

very subjective. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so choose whatever color you fancy laa.
Need to call a few places to get the best deal, but I just went with the closest, coz my company pays for my car maintenance biggrin.gif

Yes, you need to sand the divot by using a very small piece of sandpaper, but i'd advise you to fill it first using the touchup paint kit. after it dries, then only you use the rubbing compound to smoothen the surface. Use the sandpaper if it's still rough.

You'd want to make sure that the sandpaperis rounded at the bottom - use a pencil

Thx for the reply.
I have wax the car before the chip.

Any additional step for me b4 apply the diy?

The EZY touchup have a kit which include all the necessary paints (which include preparation paint).

Just follow the steps in the kit with no extra step?

Thx wink.gif

If you bought the kit, it should have everything you need - including the wax/grease remover.

Wax & Grease --> Basecoat --> Clearcoat  --> Rubbing Compound

You may want to sand it later, if you still can feel the bumps. To me, I just leave the bump smile.gif

I still can live with the bump. Can't achieve perfection for wear n tear stuff.

I am worry it will get rust. smile.gif

Thanks for the advise.

Hi ,

Does anyone mind to share meter feature on 1.8  and 1.5 turbo version?

many thank.

I believe the only difference is the turbo boost info on the meter dashboard. The rest of the info/displays are the same.

Edit:. Oh ya, the service A/B reminder. Miss out that.

dear members...is the delivery date by honda malaysia usually take very long time? this is my first time buying a honda and have booked my civic tcp on 24th April and till now no news yet. my current waja and myvi doesnt take this long time to deliver at all. Any advise? though of cancelled my booking as fed up already..and find a dealer with a ready stock in yard. My SA now lazy to pick my calls and doesnt reply anymore in Wassap.

Different dealer different delivery date and stock availability.
I have visited few dealers with various delivery date (mostly 2 months at least).

End up I lazy to visit anymore branches and call dealers one by one via Honda dealer website.
Manage to find a dealer which is able to deliver the car in 3 weeks.

If you are in hurry, the discount/rebate/freebies might not be that good.
In my case, the rebates can up to 5.5k in other branches, but I opt for 4.8k rebate without any freebies sad.gif and delivery in 3 weeks.

Hello everyone. Finally got my car last week (1.5tcp lunar silver). Everything is good so far, loving it really. Just that I noticed this today that on all my rims have this light blue marker. Anyone else has this mark too on your rims? Should I be worried about this??
*
All this is QA process/checklist marker when the staff check on the vehicle.

Each completed checklist item will have a marker to mark it as check completed
