For those of you who have VSA modulator issues, please get them changed under warranty as soon as possible. That associated parts costs around USD530, so converted would be around RM2300 before labour and GST!

https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-list/20...ator.html?PNC=1

Kacau the service advisor as much and as soon as possible to get it switched within warranty period. It also concerns your safety as that part has direct relation to the ABS and braking, can't imagine how bad the consequences if it gets worse beyond the annoying ticking sound.

This site seems to have a very comprehensive catalogue of honda parts, a good reference to go look up. But take note that their part prices are already discounted by up to 30% compared to honda's official price list. Although this is a US website, i believe the parts prices can't run too far.

Apparently there was some firmware update which fixed this issue?  hmm.gif so they sort of reworked the firmware to cover for mechanical fault eh.
*
A lot of things are electronically controlled now, possible that they made some changes towards the sensor feed. I've also read about workarounds by disabling the VSA feed completely through electronic means. Hope that honda Malaysia didn't use this workaround to save money of the VSA parts as they don't come cheap.

I updated the firmware on mine. No fault since.

Good to know that thumbsup.gif

Anyone facing some grind slight sound from rear when reversing? i suspected warp disc brakes
*
It is just a resonance that may happen when it is cold. Will go off after a while.

Warped brake disc will have vibration when braking in higher speeds when travelling forward or gets choppy when it is warped really badly.

I noticed that I seem to have a deep gauge mark on my left headlight. The indentation is significant, but luckily the seal isn't broken. I noticed it over the weekend, but really have no idea when or where it had happened.  cry.gif

Live with it, there's no such thing as change headlight cover part only now, need to change whole set. Could cost you more than RM2000/side. Unless you are lucky enough to find a written off unit at scrap yard and have some good prying/gluing/assembling (maybe even soldering skills) to replace your scratched unit.

Maybe a little polishing to make it just that little bit less obvious to make you feel better.

My larger concern is that it looks like someone tried to damage my car. Looks very unlikely to have happened when I was driving, as I would have heard the impact.
So that leaves either:
a) Someone hit my car when it was parked
b) Someone purposely tried to damage my car sad.gif
*
Sometimes, it is simply an innocent knock by some lady's bag or brief case when they squeeze between the empty space of 2 parked car.

Or more sinister, already scratched before delivery to you.....

saw they post on youtube during installation..
the airfilter slightly low at front rear foglamp area so when the filter need to be service is quite messy job
*
Well, that's the price for additional power for this particular car using this mod method. The engine bay layout is pretty inefficient and a little messed up compared to their past models.

QUOTE(andyshim89 @ Jul 15 2017, 09:47 PM)
i ask my SA before my car arrive he say if any paintjob no good can return even signed delivery form and registered..
all can arrange a new car...dont know true or not lucky no problem and i get my car
*
The sales advisor cakap besar only...the middle ground is when the allocated car has arrived, please request them to contact you to inspect the car. You can insist that as any dispute in this stage is just some internal honda admin process.

Another way to hold them "ransom" is to not sign the delivery documents as they need the signed documents to get the loan released to them. But that also means you can't drive your car out of the dealer's gate.

If they straight register, pretty much chance is zero unless delivered to you wrong colour or wrong spec. Once registered into JPJ, not a easy job already. As if you want to reject the car, the dealer have to "buy back" the car. We don't have strong lemon law, and even if lemon law exists, small paint job issue is not a severe enough basis to reject the car.

ya such so wide car with small 1.5 engine should same space like what in city... the cvt might be bigger than normal AT? and the arrange of hose is bad like the intake..go here go there corner here corner there...
*
You go see the new jazz hybrid engine layout, equally messed up and some more no turbo related parts.

The transmission box regardless of what type resides below, around same horizontal level with the front drive shaft, so not really the real reason. Better to be answered by the engineers in Honda?

maybe this make Honda FWD car more better handling? if move engine towards more at front ..UNDERSTEER at any speed hahaha
i notice that jazz hybrid no way to install front strut bar...
*
I think that in the quest for the car to look and feel sporty, the engine bay height was also reduced in proportion to the overall height to create a balanced look.

If you check out the same engine layout in the new CRV, the layout seems neater.

Probably recon

For now, the production of civic si are for markets that have drivers driving on the other side compared to ours. So not possible can be recon model. But at least the uprated parts bin can fit into regular civic, so a little research and sourcing, can mod your civic to si with some effort.

It's totally different, and the biggest change is the transmission being a manual and si has limited slip differential. In short it is just different, well the only thing u can mod it is the front and rear bumper to look alike, and these 2 items estimated costs around 4.2k MYR+- without paint.
*
i see......i presume the manual transmission and LSD (if can be sourced) should be able to fit....

You're lucky that whatever hit you missed the headlight, or else will cost you a lot more. I guess better you bear with some of the minor scratches on it, can't change just the headlight cover itself. Maybe a little polishing work will help smoothen the scratches.

The chrome part above the headlight, just ask honda SC to order for you, unlikely can find replica; just don't be surprised could cost upward of RM300 or more for it. My small headlight washer plastic cover costs 120 without paint already.

As for the bonnet, better you approach those paint shops, or look around in the garage sales area for some reference. Maybe someone like this :
