Below are my fee breakdown for my 20k service + B service

20k service labour 71.55
engine oil labour 39.75
oil filter labour 15.90
evaporator labour 19.88
engine oil 126.10
washer drain 1.89
oil filter catridge 32.86
evaporator,cooling coil 108.12

total 416.05

Anyone know anything about the evaporator or cooling coil?
Service personal say it is recommended to do every 10k. He include it since I did not do it during my last 10k.

I was refering to bro isr25 's 20k service list and found that mine have extra evaporator charged. Can't find any information here, so I thought I'd share.

Done my 20k service early this month. Not asked to do evaporator, cooling coil also  biggrin.gif

There are many "add on items" from Honda, cleaning this and that on top on your std service. Usually i ask them to remove those items. Unless i feel is necessary. lol
*
Did you do it during the 10k service? The service person said he found out that I didn't do it during the 10k service, so he include it for me now. He claims that it is recommended by Honda to do it.

Evaporator & cooling coil do every 10K? That's ridiculous! Is it under add-on / optional items? Seriously your service center is adding unnecessary items imho. Looks like they changed evaporator & cooling coil, rather than servicing / clean those items. Iinm only air cleaner element is supposed to be done every 30K... should go email Honda Malaysia and complaint on this SC.
*
If I'm not mistaken, he said that the 100+ fee for evaporator is not replacing it. But it is something like a fee. Not too sure, will go ask again later when I go there to collect my car.
I am not sure whether it is under add on/optional items, I will go check later. I haven't see the bill yet but the fee I showed earlier is what the person told me over the phone.

Also, what is the update on the VSA that you did during the 20k service? From what I know, it is related to some VSA modulator buzzing sound, can you explain more on what the sound is ? or how does it sound like?

The evaporator is considered under additional/recommended. So next time when you guys go for service, rmb that it is optional.

Also, the person told me that my batch of civic have gearbox problem. It is covered under warranty, i need to send it to them and leave it overnight for 1 day to fix it.

Is this the load startup noise issue?
Never knew that this could be a permanent problem - maybe try disabling bluetooth on your phone? It's trying to load info via bluetooth possibly?
*
I asked him, he said it is not the engine start, he said civic turbo will have some louder noise during start up, the noise is normal. ( exactly what he told me last time when i send in during 1k service). He said this gear box issue is different. I asked is it about VSA, he claims not related to VSA .

I'll try talking to the service center manager and update you all when I get any extra information.

It's not about the turbo, nor is it about the VSA. The loud grinding noise is about the lower valve body in the CVT.

I know there is a grinding noise during engine ignition, he say that is normal for turbo.

So have you went and change this?

Hi folks, good morning. During my 1K service I informed the service agent that I felt that the engine was juddering at very slow speeds (e.g. in multi-story car parks, taking slow corners) and they said they would check.

When I collected my car I was told that they checked and what I was observing was a "CVT characteristic" and nothing they could do. After that I noticed when I start my car in the morning (or any cold start) the RPM would be at 1500 and then slowly over 30 seconds or so come down to 1000. I suspect Honda decided to tune the timing in response to my feedback.

I also feel that the engine over-revs now which makes the car feel less responsive (if that makes sense). Has anyone else observed this? Tips or comments?
*
I noticed that the engine will stutter and the whole car will jerk when I am going up a slope at low speed (<25km/h). I haven't send in to check this issue.

As for the cold engine start, it is normal to me. It will rev up to 1500rpm before going down to 1000rpm after like 10-15 seconds.

I also noticed this issue. After few months then the traffic noise will seem to be much louder compare to when I just got the car. Noise of motorcycle passing by is the most obvious as previously I don't remember hearing those noise.

I think it is an issue with the rubber being under the hot sun or something.

I'm on 5th tank now, over 2k total mileage already. Of course, still hopeful fuel consumption will improve...

Master Sifu  notworthy.gif , mind to share your how you drive? 13.8km/l 74%City is beyond my comprehension.

On Honda City, I was able to get 22.x km/l travelling to penang (110kmph - 130kmph). Coming back kl 18.x km/l (140kmph - 170kmph)
EDIT: Sorry, I read your post again. You meant 13.8km/l overall, including the 19.6km/l which brought the average up.

Tq Tq.
*
From my experience, the fuel consumption will be better after you did your first engine oil change when they use 0w-20 which is more fuel efficient.

Overall, it is totally dependent on your driving condition and how hard you hit your pedal.

City drive in KL and city drive in penang is two totally different thing. My fuel consumption is very bad in 100% penang city, where it is <10km/l based on the reading.

When I drive 100% city in KL, the consumption is much better as there are still some longer roads in KL.

On the subject on fuel consumption.
Did anyone test eco mode for the Civic Turbo ?

How does it fare ?
*
I am 100% on eco since I am stuck in the jam so often. I use eco mode even when I'm on long distance highway drive.

Nice ride. Congrates  rclxms.gif

EDIT: Have it light on the pedal. I got a speeding ticket within a week after picking up the car. (122kmph while limit is 80kmph). You just don't feel the speed in the car at that speed.
*
I think the main reason you don't feel the speed is due to the CVT gearbox.

We can get a feeling of how fast the car has been based on the number of gear changes in normal gear box.

This car? Just smooth acceleration without changing gear and before you know it, you are already 120km/h. rolleyes.gif

so 550km per ride...wink.gif
850km highway!

=Z=

wa, 850km on highway? That should be at the most fuel efficient speed, which should be between 90-110km/h.

The most I get is 650km, speed between 120-140 km/h.

Hi guys, the service center got back to me. They say we can replace the gearbox or abs if our car show the symptoms: Loud grinding sound during startup and the tick tick vibrate sound.

Also, anyone have experience claiming insurance from berjaya sompo panel workshop in penang? Plan to replace and claim my windscreen.

I will be sending my car for check-up and hopefully to fix following problems.
1. Loud grinding noise during engine startup.
2. tick tick tick sound on uneven road, getting very frequent now.

Have you guys fixed these issues before? Any experience with SC, please let me know.
*
QUOTE(stinky @ Aug 2 2017, 06:43 PM)
Mine also got tick tick sound. But normally 2 ticks only when I go over hump.
*
Yes I noticed there's 2 ticks sound when going through a bump or a pot hole at a moderate speed. It only happens when I run through uneven surface(bump or hole) on 1 side of the tire.

Is it the VSA?

Been driving for a week as well. Luckily for me no sound yet from the A pillar or door. Is the rattling sound very evident while driving?
*
It's definitely noticeable but the rattling only happens when i go through uneven road.

It happens to me after driving for half a year.
