Oil Life left 2000 km
Overall 6800 km
*
Also depending on the SC. previously my crz late for 2 weeks +, they refused to give me the free labour. They charged me RM 100+ labour which supposed to be free that day. They said max 2 weeks late.. Btw this is Old Klang road SC.

a FD 1.8 overtake my TC ar 140kmh..the cvt in D mode very very not so respond..
*
Not so responsive? Hmm ...to me...once the TC is on the move the CVT is responsive. Once u floored it u can feel the power and easily hit 180kmh in few seconds. No way a stock 1.8 can come close...lol. cos I often drive hrv too...huge diff in power especially on highway...

My 1.5TC insurance is due end of this month and I have received renewal notice from Honda. Do you guys continue buying from Honda or look elsewhere for better deal? Considering 1 July starts the motor insurance liberalization. What will be the estimated sum insured for 1.5TC?
*
I just got quotation from MSIG 111k.. just use back the same insurance company, lazy to compare.. lol .. but I revised to 106k for my TC...expiring mid Jul17. According to them.. max can reduce 5% else will consider under insured.

Hahahaha. Pretty much mate.. lol. The one that's bothering me the most is like a scrapping whirring sound on the left side of my engine when I drive. Quite obvious if I were to roll down my window slightly. And also starting to hear random rattling here and there in the interior. Jeebuz...
*
Our lovely civic, after few weeks or months, new rattling sound will come out. haiz. Everytime ill have to locate from where and diy myself.

Below are my fee breakdown for my 20k service + B service
20k service labour      71.55
engine oil labour  39.75
oil filter labour          15.90
evaporator labour        19.88
engine oil            126.10
washer drain    1.89
oil filter catridge    32.86
evaporator,cooling coil  108.12

total 416.05
Anyone know anything about the evaporator or cooling coil?
Service personal say it is recommended to do every 10k. He include it since I did not do it during my last 10k.

I was refering to bro isr25 's 20k service list and found that mine have extra evaporator charged. Can't find any information here, so I thought I'd share.
*
Done my 20k service early this month. Not asked to do evaporator, cooling coil also biggrin.gif

There are many "add on items" from Honda, cleaning this and that on top on your std service. Usually i ask them to remove those items. Unless i feel is necessary. lol

Just saw on FB - someone saying that his TC Civic oil life is only 3500++km, the lowestI've ever heard. Mileage now is at 6800km and the service due soon (1500km oil life left) has popped up.

Apparently he leaves his car running while not moving often - Don't do this ya friends smile.gif you're wasting fuel and money changing engine oil.
*
Wow 3500+ is really low. My oil life getting better especially now after 20k service. Can drive about 7500-8000km mostly City drive.

Been driving Volvo S80 2011 2.5 Turbo (231hp, 340nm) for 2 days while waiting for my Civic TC to change windscreen. Surprisingly our TC feel more powerful especially from pickup & more responsive from 0-80kmh. After 80kmh, S80 fly all the way.. Civic Steering feel & handling also better. lol. May b expectation too high on S80..

Anyway just for info, change windscreen @ Honda now RM 2150.00. Price has increased.

Haih, the rattle noise from right door is irritating ._. need to get it fixed on my 1000km service. Suspect the cable loose or something since even when I hold the door the sound continues...
*
I think the door panel rattling is quite common in our CIvic FC due to the screw loose. Mine started rattling with driver door , few months later passenger door then rear door after 1 year of ownership.

I posted here before few months ago. Diy is easy, will take only 2-3mins to do. Better than send to SC and they tell you they will only do on weekdays and need time to check bla bla bla.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ6Gftpn2mI

Refer to this youtube video, remove to door handle plastic cover, tighten the screw (only 1) and install back the handle cover. (No need to remove the controller & also the whole panel). Easy & no more rattling after that biggrin.gif

Don't have side leather installation for civic backseat. Asked dy at Pecca.

Now installing leather seat, door trim and arm rest for my car. Heartache to watch them pull the plastic clip off the doors. Scared got ngek ngek sound later when install back. Seat has no problem cos it's all nuts and bolts.

Anyway, they sew the leather and install here in this factory in Kepong. A huge factory and they are the distributor for Llumar tint film and supplies to the shops outside.
*
aiya.. they cant install leather to cover the backseat plastic part.. thought should be a simple job bruce.gif

Anyway thank for asking. smile.gif

Mostly at 7000/8000? Wow. Ive driven 1200km and oil life is at 3500 remaining. What am I doing wrong?
*
That is quite low.. driven 1200 and oil life already dropped 6500. Must be 100% traffic jam bumper to bumper?

My oil life keep improving.. first 10k service able to get 7000, 20k service almost hitting 8000. (70% city drive 30% highway)

That day drove to SG .. about 800km but oil life only drop 400-500km. luckily on average i drive about 7000km+ every 6 months. so can always combine with 10k service interval like 1.8 owner biggrin.gif

anyone here who is on the fence to get the Civic 1.5T but is holding back for the new Accord 1.5T next year??
*
New accord should follow the new CRV with base model 2.0 engine 145k+ while the 1.5T from 160k+.

Need to top up at least 30k+ from CIvic TC to Accord TC.

To me the civic looks better than the new accord. biggrin.gif but the new accord really look luxury inside.. diff segment though...

hi guys,

did anyone do the windscreen repair before? i have done my one yesterday the specialist mention no matter how it still have a "scar" at there .

Thank for sharing and advise.
*
Ive done before. Repair is only effective for a stone chip, bull eye or star only. not 100%.you still can see it if very near. If crack, dont waste money for repair, just change the whole windscreen. cos will crack again after 2-3 days after repair.

You mean 1.3km/lit? if yes, something not right. Fuel consumption is even worst than a Bugatti Veyron with 8000cc turbocharged engine. brows.gif
