For those who had a jailbroken iPhone, you can download a tweak to run Waze using the Carplay, with all the touch interface to be working.

In fact, it allows all apps to work in CarPlay, I have tried Google Maps, YouTube ( Please do not watch video while driving ), Photos apps to be working as well.

This might be useful for those with jailbroken iPhone but envious with Android Auto Waze support smile.gif

I have an iPhone, but not jailbroken. Can you give some details? I'll properly reference you and your post of course smile.gif

If you have not meddle with jailbreak iPhone before, it is very likely that you are using the latest iOS version, which of course, is un-jailbreakable as of yet.

The latest jailbreak-able iOS is version 10.2.1, so if you're using the version any higher than this, then you're out of luck currently.

However, if you did happen to have a jailbreak-able iPhone, good news, just download a tweak called NGXPlay from the Cydia, as mention by our fellow @giggs_509.

The apps setting allow which app to be toggle on in CarPlay, with two options for them.

1. Native - Natively run the apps in the CarPlay interface, so all touch interface are working and communicating directly just like how you will use your apps in Landscape mode. The phone screen remain off, just like any other native CarPlay app.

2. Mirror - mirror the app screen into the car display. This is a usually a second resort if the first option is not compatible for some reason. This however, will not give you any touch feedback and communication through the car display. It merely mirror the display onto the car screen. Any interaction required is through the phone itself.

If I can find some time, I will post some screenshot. But for now, this is basically the steps. The toughest part would be the jailbreaking part I suppose.

Follow up with the iPhone CarPlay jailbreak tweak, these are some of the screenshot when using the Waze with carplay.

The navigation work flawlessly, keyboard input is a little buggy sometimes but works ok. The UI is exactly like how you used the app in Landscape mode. If the app does not support landscape mode, it will looks weird during CarPlay.

The home screen. You can enable basically any apps.

Until Waze get its official CarPlay support, this will do for me.

Hey guys, just checking if any of you guys installed a dash cam? Heard that it will void warranty. Sorry if this has already been covered earlier on.

My dashcams taped power directly from the fuse box, for the sake of parking mode.

I have asked the SC guy, he said it will void warranty yes, but if you remove it before claiming for any warranty, they will pretend they didn't know about it. I don't think they are very stringent about it at all, but more of a disclaimer and preventive measure for people who mess with the electronics, fried them and blame Honda.

Only via cable. AFAIK, only BMW has wireless Carplay at the moment.

Most, if not all GPS navigator without cellular network are like that. You need a period to lock-in to the current location. If you start off while your car is moving, couple with heavy signal blocking tint, it will be having hard time trying to lock your location.

Our phone GPS works differently, we use A+GPS, assisted via cellular network by triangulate your location from nearby cellular towers.

If you want better time, you might want to try to stay stationary until your GPS gain the lock on your location.

Anyway, does anyone know if Honda Malaysia is supporting the Qi wireless charger accessory officially? It is a official accessory for Honda US that can be installed at their dealer directly. I am not sure if my warranty will be affected if I installed the genuine Honda wireless charger though it is not sold here in Malaysia?
